Hi Wisconsin- sorry I am like this! Ha!

It’s been a blurry busy boiling few days. Each day I have learned better how to care for myself in the ways I need right now (compression, cooling, salty water, rest). Body tired, but not drained, and heart full. I like fiber people (they remind me of derby people). I have not knit a single row!

Augtober is here, Sugars 🎃! I’m buying pumpkin flavored things, in total denial that it’s still 80 degrees outside, and anxiously preparing my spooky season drop. If the UPS Gods are to be believed, my Halloween bandanas will be arriving from the printer TOMORROW!

🕸️So it’s time to spooky-up my feed! For nostalgia’s sake, here’s some highlights from my trip to Salem last April with @fortheloveofthreadandplants for the @fiberwitchfestival. We saw some sacred historical sites, sold an unreal amount of bandanas🖤, and SHOPPED, a lot! I also left a little bit changed—with a more open mind, and better understanding of some of the innate intuition I have a gift for.

That said, if you’ve made it this far! Here’s a little hint about this year’s Halloween bandana: scum. 💚

Fiber Witch Festival: Path of the Corvid 🐦‍⬛🌙🗝️🔮

We invite you to a gathering of Fiber Witches to traverse the Path of the Corvid in the enchanting Witch City of Salem, Massachusetts. Join us to explore the myth and magic of the corvids, to welcome these messengers from beyond the veil, and to exchange magical trinkets with your fellow witches.

We’ll be celebrating the Magic of Corvids, and their roles in mythology and ritual, such as their connections to the Morrigan, Odin, and other deities. Our festival will be draped in rich velvety shadows, with shimmers of blues, purples, and greens, inspired by corvid feathers, and shiny treasures and trinkets. We’re imagining feather adornments, nests filled with sparkly jewels, curios, sticks, bones, rusty keys, and divination tools.

Can words capture the level of gratitude I feel for the reception of my artwork at @flockfiberfestival ?? Not sure but im going to try!!
The amount of genuine care and work put into this event is staggering. Jess, the founder, came by my booth last year while I was vending at a different Seattle market and invited me to join in at Flock in 2026! An in person introduction was so lovely and so unexpected and I was soooo flattered 🥹 jess that was really so cool of you!!! The effort put into this show was evident in how smoothly everything went and how excited everyone was to be there!

And the people who came; generous and thoughtful angels who value and prioritize human hand made art. I did better than usual at capturing patches & pins & magnets in their new homes and im so happy for that, can’t wait for you to see!!

And they are absolutely right!!! I replied that it never fails to shock me how some people don’t even try to have fun.

My cousin @stoneviewknits was kind enough to come by and take some pictures and give me a bathroom break!! I always forget that it’s much easier to have fun at these events when you have a buddy to lean on 😅

yes I am sappy, yes this is a piece of garbage I saw on the ground in a parking garage of the event venue that I walked by and then turned around to take a picture of the words so I could read them later because I was pretty sure it was a message for me, specifically somehow??
it’s a fortune cookie that reads “nurture your creative talents to express yourself fully”
you tell me, was I meant to find this scrap of garbage?? Or was it meant for whoever was curious enough to read it??
