Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time 💛💙

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Last Friday was too nice to stay inside, so the Kiwanis Aktion Club grabbed their gloves and got to work! 🌞

They picked up trash behind Mercato and Sport Chek and filled at least four big bags.

Kiwanian Cathy joined them, and as always, there were lots of laughs along the way.

The Aktion Club is the world’s only community service club just for adults living with disabilities.

This group shows up, works hard, and has a great time doing it.

Thank you for making our neighbourhood cleaner and brighter. 💙 taken in Chatham, Ontario by @kiwanis_ck

Every quarter we meet with the other Kiwanis clubs in our division to share knowledge, tips and news.

It’s always fun to reunite with our friends from other areas.

And there’s always something to learn from each other 💙💛

This most recent meeting marked the beginning of a new Kiwanis year 🎉 and we all welcomed our new Division LG, Patti! taken in Municipality of Chatham-Kent by @kiwanis_ck

On Saturday a group of us headed to the Kiwanis Sunshine Point Camp in Harrow, ON for a division meeting. 🚐

It was a beautiful day and great to catch up and learn from all the other clubs in the division. ☀️

Name-That-Tune/Dolly Parton Trivia at Turns and Tales last night was a blast! 🚀

From the silly team names to the good natured ribbing between tables, the laughter didn’t stop all evening.

And as always, the youth will lead us!

For the first time in Turns and Tales trivia history, there was a tie for first place between the two youngest teams there!

A few of our more “seasoned” participants tied for second place too!!

All in all, a fun way to spend a Friday evening, reminiscing about our charitable role model and supporting our local Imagination Library at the same time.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped with organizing and setting up!!

Thanks for hosting Turns and Tales 😍 taken in Turns and Tales by @kiwanis_ck

We start a new “Kiwanis Year” on October 1st. 📅

And, in this new Kiwanis Year, we’re seeing some big leadership changes.

With that in mind, President Clare Latimer reflected on her time in the top leadership position of our club.

What she has to say will inspire all of you who give your time and efforts for the good of Chatham-Kent! 🙏

Thank you, Clare! 💙 taken in Chatham-Kent by @kiwanis_ck

Last Wednesday we had our first meeting back after “summer vacation”! 📆

Since we hadn’t seen much of us over the summer we had a wine & cheese social and kept the business part of the meeting to a minimum! 🍷 🧀

It was great to see everyone and be back together again!

Dorothy was really excited to tell us all about her plans for a pasta dinner fundraiser on October 24th 🍝

Welcome back @mikesabouttopost , Chair of the Kiwanis Music Festival and candidate for municipal council!

When he heard that Dolly Parton had passed, one of our own Kiwanis members, Dick Roe, did as he often does and sat down to write. ✍️

His words sure say what a lot of us have been feeling.

Dolly did so much to help children fall in love with books.

Her Imagination Library sends free books to little ones. Here in Chatham-Kent our club is proud to be part of that work through the Chatham-Kent Dolly Parton Imagination Library. 😊

Thank you, Dick, for sharing such lovely words. Dolly would be proud. 🩷🦋

Take a moment and tell us what Dolly meant to you. taken in Chatham-Kent by @kiwanis_ck

This is the part people don't always know about.

Behind every project we take on for the kids in our community, there is a room full of friends who genuinely love working together to make good things happen.

If that sounds like your kind of night, we would love to meet you. 😁

Come say hello at a community event, send us a message here, visit our website, or just mention it to the Kiwanis member you already know.

New members are always welcome here! 🙌 by @kiwanis_ck

Kiwanis Memorabilia!!
Here is our charter from 1930. One month later our Club received their bronze gong from the "Ontario-Quebec-Maritime District", before the Caribbean were part of this district!
