Our first annual GMU Woodwind Day is coming up soon on January 25! This will replace my long-running Clarinet Day, and will be geared toward students in grades 6-12. Some highlights include a recital given by the GMU woodwind faculty, like-instrument clinics and ensemble reading sessions led by Mason faculty, and a closing recital with our guest artists, @arconsort . Also, @foxesmusiccompany will be onsite all day selling music and accessories. More information is available on our website. I am excited to share that my piece, "Phosphenes" for Bb Clarinet and fixed media will be presented as part of the Society of Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS) national conference at Purdue University on Monday, March 24 in the Elliot Hall of Music at 8:00pm (EDT). My amazing colleague, Dr. Kathleen Mulcahy @klarmulc (who premiered the piece in Ireland last year) will be performing. taken in Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana by @klarmulc
