This weekend reminded me of what an honor and privilege it is to play principal #oboe with the @neworchestraofwashington. This weekend’s concert featured challenging and inspiring music by Joan Tower and Camille Pepin, and culminated in #Beethoven 3. My @howarthoflondon oboe made light work of this beast of a part (the string players in front of me look pleased ☺️). And, honestly, one of the best wind sections I’ve ever played in - extremely high level of precision, professionalism, musicianship, over the top expression, and, you know what(?), actual fun, too!! #oboist #hautbois #doublereed #oboelife #gay #lgbtq🌈 #nativeamerican #professor @shenandoahconservatory
