THE HEAT OF OTHERS On the 3rd of July at 8 PM, Never At Home @neverathome will host the launch of The Heat of Others. The reading will be accompanied by a prologue by Lucía Ugena @lucia.ugena and a soundscape by Klimentina Li @klimentinali404. The Heat of Others follows Max, a young researcher who travels to Svalbard, Norway, to speak at a conference on the ethics of mind enhancement. There she encounters a high-tech experimental building powered by “Dual Resolve,” a system that harvests human body heat. As the conference unfolds, the warmth of bodies and the pressure begin to blur, pulling Max into a state of growing uncertainty where thought and sensation are no longer discernible. 3.07.2026 — 20:00 Never At Home Argentinierstraße 30B 1040 Vienna, Austria Supported by the generous support of the Mondriaan Fund @mondriaanfonds. by @klimentinali404

Ash, Horizon and Riding a House by Netti Nüganen Performance: Netti Nüganen, Pire Sova, Michaela Kisling @nettinuganen @piresova @kisling production: @partnerincrimevienna @larr_y3000 light: @klimentinali404 dramaturgy: @b88bou ice molds: @madlenoffice house costume: @zodyburke ——- In a world where land, language and folklore have become commodities, the only place you’re welcome back is outside - where greenery is no longer the primary reference. Instead, uneven floorboards, illusion mirrors and trickster steps form profitable landscapes. “How is it that we never see the big one coming? Horizon -> is a territory.” ———— It was just a joy to tour with the performance and experience it in different stages and with new teams, thank you all for the care! AREA[404] x CREATIVE DAYS VIENNA Fair P[l]ay 21st May, Westbahnstudios WORKSHOP 17-19 CONCERT 20-22 ~ Streaming platforms have restructured how music moves through the world. A small number of corporations now operate as the primary gatekeepers of distribution, accumulating revenue and data while returning fractions of a cent per stream to the artists whose work sustains them. The algorithm decides what gets heard. The platform decides what gets paid. And social media has made promotion an unpaid condition of survival. Fair P[l]ay is a hands-on workshop examining the political economy of music distribution and the alternatives practitioners are already building. The workshop surveys tools and models building outside that logic: cooperative platforms, decentralized networks, netlabels, open-source distribution, and the strategic return to physical formats. It is aimed at musicians, creatives, and anyone who works with platform economies and wants tools for thinking differently about distribution, ownership, and audience. ~ Followed w/ concerts by 9abriela & Jung An Tagen 9abriela @cupasoup 9abriela is a visual artist, exploring time structures through sonic narratives. Her approach comes from a self-tough exploration of electronics, media technologies in combination with an early musical education. Her fascination for found instruments & devices keeps her in the search of new arrangements to play and improvise. She lives and works in Vienna. Jung An Tagen (ETAT, Editions Mego) Backed up by 2 decades of discographic activity under diverse pseudonyms and multiple collaborations on labels such as Editions Mego and Diagonal, Jung An Tagen (Stefan Juster) performed at Festivals like Unsound or Sonic Acts, researching the boundaries of techno and dissociative computer music. Testing strategies of physical disorientation and forceful sonic phenomena, encouraging minds and bodies to calculate and intuit their own place in spacetime. - Many thanks to @wirtschaftsagentur_wien for the warm invite.
