#CIVADiscourse #CIVADiscourseDay 🧠In cooperation with partners such as Frauendomäne (@frauendomaene), D/Arts (@d.arts_wien), or the Volkstheater (@VolkstheaterWien), the Vienna media art festival devotes itself to topics such as fatphobia, empowerment, body politics, or exclusion and discrimination in art and culture in talks, workshops, and experimental interactive formats (Fitness studio! Urine samples!).

During the one-day CIVA conference on Friday, international experts will discuss the body as a political field between the analog and the digital. The Discourse Day begins with Asma Aiad’s (@asmaaiad) and Ines Mahmoud’s (@in_mah) opening keynote »Ich, die intellektuelle Putzfrau*«. It sets the stage for the diverse discussions that are to unfold throughout the day. The conference will be streamed via the festival’s Twitch channel. More on the program at civa.at/discourse

AREA[404] "The Collective Exit: A De-Google Workshop", Sept25

Last year, Klimentina Li & Brooklyn J. Pakathi hosted a workshop at Medienwerkstatt Wien on digital media literacy, big tech and data safety. Participants explored practical tools on how to "De‑Google" yourself.

After that workshop, we migrated our entire administrative system to the local server host @servus_at.
