Uphill putts are tough.. But there are a few things you can do to mitigate the airmail!

1. Feet need to be closer together because the hill you’re standing on is taking power from your legs. Trust me. This will also keep your weight a bit more forward.

2. More arm less legs because you’re losing the power from your legs from the hill. Use a bit more arm and wrist. But you have to remember it. It needs to be your cue when you step up and feel the upslope.

3. Aim a bit higher and a touch left. And I mean just a touch left of where you’d normally aim. Reason behind it is from my experience, the uphill footing can cause a pull to the right.

The Only MVP Disc in My Bag

In all the MVP disc reviews I’ve done, I’m sure it’s surprising that I haven’t bagged many molds from them.

However, one recently caught my attention: the Control, a 10-speed driver with the stability of my very seasoned Firebird.

I could release it on a slight hyzer, get it to push straight, and then reliably fade at the end—the type of shot that you need to make your scorecard look good.

Many discs fly like that, but the Control also checked an even more important box for me. It felt comfortable in my hand, especially for sidearm shots. Plus, as a big bonus, it gave me confidence for my backhand as well.

My biggest complaint is that it doesn’t have much of a dome. I’m not asking for a huge pop-top, but a nice, moderate, smooth dome would definitely push it up a notch.

If you’ve tried the MVP Control, have you had a similar experience?

Did MVP Just Beat the Firebird? 😳

While Simon Lizotte wanted the Aspect to be a fairway driver that pushed straight down the fairway before a reliable overstable finish, the Eclipse edition may have turned out a tick or two more overstable.

We enjoyed throwing this disc, especially on strong flex lines, whether backhand or forehand. We definitely didn’t have to worry about the disc flipping unexpectedly, but it also offered quite a bit of distance relative to its overstability.

We expect the stock Neutron edition to be truer to its flight numbers than this special edition Eclipse run, which flies more like an Innova Firebird.

These two discs SURPRISED me 👀

The Terminator is a 12 speed overstable driver that honestly rivals the Destroyer.
Great dome. Slight turn. Long flyer.

The @seppopaju Captian’s Caliber I have a love hate relationship with. I want to hate it because I wasn’t looking to add it to the bag, but I love it for the way it feels and flies. It may make the bag after some more testing.

Also p.s. after a few more throws, I’m thinking it may be a sneaky good forehand putter. Will update soon

SPOILER HERE ⤵️

Okay, so this change is small. And it has nothing to do with my actual flick of the disc.

I’m trying to slow down my “crow-hop” or my run up. An extreme example would be @es_discgolf

Im noticing a few things.
Being a bit slower in the x step is eliminating a few of my early released, nose up forehands. I’m driving the disc on a better line with some actual commitment behind it.

The other thing I’m noticing is my left hip is opening up a bit more. Allowing me to get actually on the disc and not letting it come out before I can follow through with the throw.

Been at this for about a month now but I think I’m onto something.
