A fantastic #yorkshire weekend beginning in Harrogate & an evening hosting a musical extravaganza celebrating all that is life affirming about the natural work with the @rspb. We were joined by @g4_official & the Blackheath Quarter, and to set the scene outside were beautiful sculptures made by @thelanterncompany painted by Jo, pictured here. Thank you to everyone who came along - almost 2,000 of you - & for being champions of #nature

Then on to #hebdenbridge which, thanks to the magnificent @sallywainwrightofficial needs no introduction from me, but as a first time visitor it goes beyond its hype.

Stayed at the lovely @whitelionhebdenbridge Walked up to the Studley monument, where a bit of gentle drizzle felt like the greatest luxury.

On the way down spotted the latest but of landscape art from @sandinyoureye (thank you farmer Gill for sharing!).

Bought shoes in @rubyshoesday.hb - mainly because it is a top name for a shoe shop & I was copying the lovely woman who sold me them.

Our Monday ended is joyful, sing-a-long fashion with music & feasting at @tcurefood where Lou cooked up a storm & Ludo got to gate crash a very musical & hospitable gang of locals & fellow diners.

An unforgettable week back with my friends @mariposanaturetours Mother Nature has been spectacularly generous & extravagant, bequeathing clear skies & an incredible backdrop for the #totaleclipse followed by a meteor shower to beat any firework display (no pics as beyond my capabilities!). All based around surely the most beautiful town in Spain & certainly my favourite, surrounded by stunning landscapes full of glorious, fluttering #butterflies. It is my second trip here & will absolutely not be my last. Full story in an upcoming edition of @wanderlustmag

Thank you David Moore, @dunnjons @sarahcuttle @birdwatchingspain & JP Cancela. You guys are legends!

Following the River Severn from Shrewsbury to Tewksbury I stopped in to see @shropshire.lad at his cafe @embers.shropshire.

We met a couple of years ago @ludlowfood but this is the first time I've made it his place in Ironbridge.
Honestly, even if you are in flippin' Glasgow, just go! If you love a laid back vibe, value great service & appreciate seriously, seriously good food, it is worth travelling a very long way for.

Head chef Zac, the servers & crew in the kitchen & Adam - thank you for an unbeatable lunch. I've got a long walk ahead & I'm now fully fuelled up & ready to go! 💪🥾🏞️

And big love & thanks to @sytchfarmstudio for the perfect place to stay, for your unfailing hospitality & kindness, for fabulous #homecooking walks & stories.

That's a wrap on Animal Park's summer series, which celebrated Ben and Kate's 25th anniversary on the show! ☀️🥳
It's an absolutely amazing milestone, so we've been looking back at some of their best moments with our keepers, who always love taking part and catching up with them. How many familiar faces do you recognise? 🤭 by @kmhumble

Do you think if @benfogle & I are still doing Animal Park in another 25 years we can claim rights to the house??!!

HUGE thank yous for watching. A million or so of you have been tuning in & although we know it's mainly because of the animals & the keepers (we've got very used to being upstaged!) it means the world to all of us. Doesn't it @meganmccubbinwild & @hamzayassin90 ?

Animal Park is on again this morning and all next week. Have a gorgeous weekend. Kate x by @kmhumble

A week in the #pyrenees discovering the mountaineering butterflies that give competitors in the @letourdefrance a run for their money. Tiny, tough, high altitude gems amidst landscapes that make your jaw drop & your heart flutter.

Thank you @dunnjons & David Moore of @mariposanaturetours for a week of beauty on every scale & @bbcwildlifemagazine in which the full story will appear in a few months.

What better way to celebrate 25 years of Animal Park than by meeting the very cute, very furry stars of the show? And we don't mean Ben Fogle and Kate Humble... The new series airs weekdays at 9:30am on BBC One. by @kmhumble

It's been 25 YEARS since me & him first started working together on Animal Park. How did that happen??!!

This morning the new series starts on @bbcone and it is a wonderful rollercoaster of memories and the many adventures we have all shared (that includes you too) over a quarter of a century. And, as ever, there's new animals to introduce you to & heart-in-mouth moments that only the animal kingdom can provide.

I've loved every moment of working on this programme. Thank you to all the keepers who keep putting up with us, and who have moved me to tears time & time again (I'm like a leaky dam throughout this series!) to @masterjoff & all the team who work so hard to pull it all together. @meganmccubbinwild and @hamzayassin90 - it's such a joy to work alongside you.

And as for you @benfogle.... All I can say is will you still put up with me for another 25 years? Pleeeeease....

I hope you all enjoy the show. On at 9.30 this morning. Let me know! And thank YOU for watching. 🙏😘 by @kmhumble

Kate Humble joined us on the show earlier this week to reminisce about 25 years of Animal Park and her friendship with Ben Fogle.
Don’t miss Animal Park tomorrow (Monday 13 July) from 9:30am on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Plus, head over to the Morning Live website to watch a special thank-you message for Kate and Ben, celebrating this milestone anniversary. 🎉 by @kmhumble

With @dunnjons & @mariposanaturetours in the French Pyrenees where I met surely the region's most spectacular butterfly, the Apollo, for the first time. *swoon* 🦋❤️ (note the wing pattern...)

This is just a little idea for anyone, who, like me, loves reading.

If you've read The Correspondent by Virgina Evans (winner of @womensprize for fiction - & well-deserved, it's fabulous) you will know where this idea has come from.

The book is written as a series of letters between the main character & people who populate her life, including her oldest & best friend. Each letter they write they finish by saying 'I'm reading xxx by xxx. What are you reading?'

And it struck me as just a lovely way to connect with someone. It's not giving an opinion or a recommendation, just a way to share a little bit of life.

So I'm reading Land by @maggieofarrellofficial . What are you reading?
