Healing People Heal the Planet 🌎 every day is #EarthDay…
The trailer to our documentary 🎥 Healing People Heal the Planet 🌎 about the story of @AHAMeducation and the work we are doing with many partners integrating #mindfulness 🧘🏽‍♀️and contemplative practice and #climateaction.
❤️🌱
We are training stakeholders toward healing and mindful ecoactivism and engaging BIPOC communities to use mindfulness practice as a vehicle for healing ourselves and the planet through mindful service.
🎬🌎🧘🏽‍♀️❤️
This film was funded by @exposurelabs and the @SCENnetwork as a Film in the Field project - the full documentary short is available for screening. Thank you to all who participated in the filming of the b.Nature retreat, Mindful Beach Clean Up and activists’ interviews. Thanks to our videographers revshoots Paolo Mugnaini and fellow narrator @pierofalcimindful
We screened this at the United Nations Water Conference and launched in COP28 Dubai and talked about the importance of mindfulness in building “eco affinity” - a love for caring for the planet.
We host #ecoanxiety workshops including film screenings for teens and youth in local communities.
🙏🏽🌀💪🏽🧘🏽‍♀️💚. Please join our movement by coming to our events or just reach out- so many ways to participate!

Life is about living again and again and again….

They say the formula for comedy is Tragedy + Time or believability + surprise or a comedian + a captive audience….Look, we don’t know who they are! What we do know is the formula for a great show is having people show up!

See you on December 13.

Mayor Mamdani during climate week NYC speaking about the urgency of the climate crisis, the importance of addressing it as a public health emergency, and how his office is meeting the moment by increasing tree cover to capture carbon and cool the city amid rising heat, and other programs to mitigate climate disasters and move toward renewable energy.

Thanks @michelle.sophia.nyc for capturing my brief exchange with him! #nycw #climateactionnow #regeneration #newyork taken in New York City by @knelleemb

This is my 5th year attending the UN General Assembly and by far the most impactful day was yesterday. Listening to Presidents Lula and Trump, the King of Jordan and the President of Turkey in succession really brought home the deep divides in our global politic. There is a spark of hope and that’s why I keep coming back - gender parity became a reality within the UN system, the continued commitment to peace voice by many leaders, and the recognition that we must place our children and communities well-being at the center of progress particularly in the advancement of AI. #globalgoals #unga81 #innerdevelopmentgoals taken in United Nations Head Quarters New York City by @knelleemb
