Enjoying continuing to learn more about sewing, trying out new patterns, and learning about different fabrics, needles, stitches, etc. There’s a big learning curve for sewing clothes I’m learning, but I’m having so much fun!

The #rockyraglan by @kelseymariewhite is 100% my obsession right now! I was really scared to sew with knit fabric, but this has been a very beginner-friendly pattern to learn with.

The #avenueshorts pattern by @hisydgraham really holds your hand, and thank goodness because I really tried to do too much with my first pair!

Next up at my sewing machine is the #cicadadress by @byerinford . I’ve already started sewing it and, while I’ve already messed up like five times, it’s still coming along beautifully! Shout out to excellent YouTube tutorials and well-written instructions 🫶🫶 by @knitsn.bits

Really happy to have this striped v-neck done in time to wear it all fall and winter! This is a self-drafted design that I’m calling the Julie Pullover, after my high school art teacher. The oversized fit and big sleeves just feels like an art teacher’s vibe.

Knit with two cones of @woolyknit Merino wool 4-ply, held double (which I bought like three years ago).

I did decide I want to go back and add just 4-6 more stripes onto the body length, since it didn’t lengthen as much with blocking as I thought it would. But, in the meantime, I’ll be wearing it as-is!

Newly finished object!

Would love to knit another #BirthdayWishScarf (by @yellowcayenne) with a lighter color that would show off the pointelle a bit better, but I’m so happy with this @cardiffcashmere one! The perfect brown color and sooooo soft on my neck. Can’t wait to wear this all fall :) by @knitsn.bits

A cute little walk down memory lane 🤍 dreams from a young twelve year old Kiki, handed with care to her older self, and loved and come true in each and every way. I can’t believe it’s already been almost two full years since our perfect, perfect wedding and all the beauty that came with it. I miss the day and the family that was all together then so much. So much. It hurts to look back without my brother to remember it all with. But I hope he’s looking down with sweet memories too.

All I’m saying is… in about 5-10 years, my three year old is gonna have crazy cool style 🤠 gotta invest in the closet early to maximize knitting time.
