Another VERY successful @flockfiberfestival for me! Year 4 did not disappoint! I think I dissociate when I’m there as I always spend more than I planned. But I love everything I got so much! Not pictured are my purchases from day 2…2 more sweater quantities, one from @zeezeetextiles and one from @thefarmersdaughterfibers. Oh and a Jimothy set from @pacificknitco Oops. 😂 Flock weekend is always amazing and I love being around “my people”. Can’t wait for 2027!

My new @redesigned_project bag that called to me for a while before I got it. @explorerknits yarn that is currently being cast on! And my lovely yarn from @shoplamercerie that is going to become my Flock Pullover from @dreareneeknits

I get to play tourist in Vegas for about 24 hours and I never mind a flight if I have my knitting. Working hard on my #swirlytee using @lambgoodfibers non superwash DK which is making its way up to the top of my favorite yarns list! taken in Las Vegas, Nevada by @knittingwithmo

Oh Shetland. Such a magical place. I expected stormy cold weather but the islands showed us their best. So beautiful. We got to see lighthouses, lots of tiny lambs including one born hours before we got to see him, gorgeous seascapes, a knitting belt workshop (my tension was…not good), a fair isle workshop, and spectacular weather. Today we arrived back on mainland Scotland and we are nearing the end of this trip and I’m in denial. I laughed until I cried several times tonight and I will miss these women a lot. It has been an amazing trip. One more day to go…. taken in Shetland Islands, Scotland by @knittingwithmo

The last two days have been great! No service last night meant no posting but here’s two days worth. A lovely visit to the V&A Museum before heading to @glamiscastlescotland where there were HIGHLAND COWS. I will not calm down. They were so cute! Then we made our way to Aberdeen to catch the @northlink_ferrries to Shetland. My cabin was comfy and I was glad to be the only one in there. Boat life is not for me but I made it and only felt sick for a little bit. We arrived in Shetland this morning and this place is special. The sun came out in the afternoon and I couldn’t believe the beauty. Just gorgeous. A visit to @burrabears before visiting a few more spots. Such a nice way to see the islands. And we saw Shetland ponies and a lot of baby lambs. They are the absolute cutest when they are running through the field. Can’t handle it. A lovely happy hour knitting with my friends before a delicious dinner. Loving this trip and these experiences with these amazing ladies. I can’t believe this is only our second day on the tour! Woke up to foggy skies but that burned off and Scotland showed us gorgeous weather yet again. Had a workshop with @digilpinknitwear to learn more about gansey style knitting which was a lot of fun. Had to get myself a sweater quantity of some yarn and I can’t wait to cast on with it! We then had free time to wander around St. Andrews. Such a cute town. Then we got to spend the rest of our afternoon with the alpacas at @bowbridgealpacasscotland My goodness these alpacas were cute! I got to buy some special yarn here made using the fleece from the alpaca I got to walk around, Angus. After getting back to the hotel, a group of us went out and had a delicious dinner and some drinks. I’m having the best time! by @knittingwithmo

The tour is officially started! I didn’t take many pictures today, but it was an excellent day! Slept like a rock for many hours and then the tour began. A little drive around Edinburgh then to the @scottishtextilesshowcase for a talk and some shopping (got the cutest wool bag ever). Then a quick pint with my new friends before getting back on the coach to head to Dundee for the next two nights. More laughing until I was crying at dinner and now it’s time for bed. I love it here. by @knittingwithmo

Made it to Edinburgh! It’s been a long long two days but I’m already so happy to be here and another @rachelisknitting tour starts tomorrow! Highlights of today: arriving in Scotland, meeting some very fun new friends, St. Giles cathedral with its blue ceiling and amazing pipe organ, visiting @gingertwiststudio and buying some lovely yarn in the colorway “Oregon”, having a view of the castle from my hotel room, strolling along Victoria St., and laughing so hard I was crying at dinner tonight. Despite being absolutely exhausted, today was an excellent day and I can’t wait for more! taken in Edinburgh, United Kingdom by @knittingwithmo

New cast on! Sorry to the rest of my WIPs but this one is stealing me away. The combination of colors is so so far out of my comfort zone but I am obsessed. Hoping to get this done in time to wear in Scotland at the end of April!
