She’s finally here folks!

This pattern was a bit of a doozy for me. Yarn shipments were delayed, or in one case didn’t show up at all, working time was limited as both kiddos were home a lot, and I ran into last minute math inconsistencies 🫠

Nonetheless, I’m excited to share this pattern with you all! It’s a top I truly wear often.

Thank you to you all, to my testers, and tech editor for your patience! I hope you enjoy the pattern if you choose to knit it 😊

I just wanted to give a visual of working the shoulder seam of the Nina Top. It’s a tad trickier to work the mattress stitch with the texture of the yarn, but once you get the hang of it, it’s not so bad.

A friend, @withtwohandsknits, recently suggested that if you wear your recently finished hand knits 3 ways and then you’ll be much more likely to reach for that garment. I’ve found this to be very true!

If you’re a perfectionist like me it also helps you get over focusing on the imperfections. No one else notices!

The Nina Top Pattern will be available 10/1. Stay tuned!

Finally making some real headway on the Nina Sweater. It’s taken me a while to get the proportions just right, but now I’m loving it and can’t wait to wear it. Unfortunately I ran out of yarn 🧶 🫠 BUT it’ll be quick to finish once my yarn arrives and then I’ll be putting out a tester call.

Basic doesn’t always mean easy. I’m working on this streamline sweater in Cotton Waves by @gepardgarn. I wanted a basic shape that would be a really easy piece to wear, and that would let the texture of this yarn shine. After frogging the sweater 4 times trying to get the shape just right, I’m finally making headway. More details about the Nina Sweater and a tester call coming soon ✨ taken in York, Maine by @knitwork___

Signs of spring are hard to come by here in Maine. But yesterday evening I heard a familiar sound, the chirps of our resident woodcock who comes back every spring. A small sign that spring is coming. Layering up while spring weather takes its time.
