🧶 NEW WIP ALERT 🧶 I casted on the Staple Sweater by @knitwork___ and my needles can barely keep up with my ambition to finish this thing. I can’t wait to have my very own Babaa-inspired turtleneck. ✨ Also, I’m late to the @dererumnatura Gilliatt hype and oh my god how gorgeous is this yarn! Rich dark bronze colour with a hint of olive green, perfectly spongy and so friendly to the fingers. I need more Gilliatt in my life. Anyone who’s knit with Gilliatt before, what did you make? It’s release day for the #NinaTop by @knitwork___ She’s a stunning boatneck top with some wonderful contraction details, including seamed shoulders which was a new technique for me! Mine was made in @gepardgarn Cotton Waves yarn, I absolutely adore the color and the how this turned out. I had to have some patience when knitting with the yarn since the textured quality was new to me, but it made a really nice fabric in the end. The yarn was kindly sponsored for the test knit 🤍

This sweater travelled with me - twice! And I can say, the pattern was absolutely perfect for that! ✨ As time for sample knitting was a short and headspace a little limited these past weeks, I was craving a project that would be mindless and just allow me to dive into the stitches, admiring the fabric they’d create. How fitting that I also needed a stockinette stitch sample for our new yarn base „Shore“! 🦙 The #raysweater by @knitwork__ ticked all the boxes for me and I was so drawn to its simplicity with clever details. So I cast on while on the way to a weekend trip with my partner and worked through the majority of the body two weeks later while we were in London. So it has come far for sure and was an absolute breeze to work on. 🤍 I could not be happier with how it turned out - it is the perfect oversized sweater to just throw on when I’m going on my morning walks to the studio. The raglan detail is inspired by the rays of the sun and the drape of the yarn accompanies this detail so well. For this one, I used our new yarn base „Shore“ to showcase its elegant but still mildly wild character. And what a match, I’d say! 🤍 „Shore“ is coming soon, alongside some other plant dyed goodness on our „Heirloom“ base, all launching on the 2nd of October at 8pm CET 🍂 #naturalyarn #naturallydyed #plantdyes #sustainableknitting
