My contribution to pepper week is jalapeño apple jelly. I had lots of apples and jalapeños that needed to be used before they went bad. Let me know how you use this sweet and hot jelly!

Fall cleanup at the community garden. Some plants are still thriving! We will keep tending until it’s time to winterize.

When I was a little girl, I had The Secret Garden VHS and it came with a little locket. I wore that empty locket all the time and would pretend I had a secret garden. Not sure what ever happened to that locket but I can write about it in my (not so secret) garden.

This song reminds me that everyday my best looks a little different. I created a yoga/mediation space right in the middle of my garden. Intentionally planting flowers and herbs at a seated level to engage my senses to ground myself. I smell dill and cilantro and the sweet honey of alyssum. I see a rainbow of colors and butterflies. I hear bees buzzing, crickets and bird songs. Breeze is chilly but the sun is warm. ☕️ ✍️

It’s hard to be anywhere else but right here. 🌻🦋🐝🍯

I attended the Dahlia Society of Greater Pittsburgh’s dahlia show at the Pittsburgh Botanic Gardens. Great day and fully inspired by all the blooms.
