To the child im ALWAYS proud of, you really waited for the day to end to text me the second you got on the bus to tell me the good news instead of waiting to get home. that warms my heart tremendously. i could hear the excitement in your voice. i’m more than honored to be the one you always tell YOUR good news to. you have blessed me in more ways than one or even 2. the smallest of your accomplishments deserves praise and acknowledgement. i will always be there to celebrate every win. i am hard on you sometimes bc i KNOW you ARE better. i KNOW you will be better. there’s nobody that can tell me otherwise. i AM so that YOU ARE. happy birthday to one of the most important women in my life!!!! i can honestly look back on my life and say “auntie always loved me”. i wasn’t the most easy person to understand, to get close to, to open up or be honest. just was conditioned to not feel, express or acknowledge. you taught me those things as i got older. expression meant weakness, vulnerability meant failure (to me) but you always knew i had pain. even when i wasn’t telling you i was suffering. but you always knew. the one woman who can style me and i have to take it on the chin (nobody else better effin’ play with me just you). you’re critical, but it’s always love. you hold me accountable, you never fail to let me see where i was wrong at & to own correction without feeling attacked. it’s no one that’s understood how to do that with me, but you. thank you for giving me grace, for understanding my thoughts without me explaining them, for showing up for me. love you always Auntie, happy birthday!

when your bestfriend comes out with you for drinks to watch love island at a bar! in my scrubs too! 🤣🤣 (we don’t even watch love island but we were so into it while we were sitting there. to walk into a room & everyone embraces you is a different feeling. to get around people you never met and feel like family is indescribable. it’s amazing how people you don’t know can relate to everything you say in their own way. to be fully heard, fully understood, to resonate with a room that you’ve never stepped in. i was deeply touched, i almost teared up a couple times listening to some of these ladies. to be such a girls girl i wanted to love on these women. i was going through some shit but i’m built to endure and not so much to disclose. nobody knew what was festering in me up until this day. i was struggling a little bit with my emotional well being before this day and these women really helped me to stand up & stand firm. first impressions are EVERYTHING because you only get one and the impressions are ever lasting on me! Ms. Yvette thank you for the prayers, thank you for understanding the burden i carry from work & my mental health! i’m always praying for myself so to have someone else give that to me meant everything! i haven’t had someone do that since i was 20! i’ve seen the most beautiful and rare souls talk about their pain and how it’s affected them and all i can do is sit there and wonder how anyone can hurt these girls meanwhile im one of them 🤣 people don’t care about who you are as a person. no matter how you show up, how consistent, loving, caring and genuine you are. they will still backburner you, still not choose you, still find reasons to make you feel or seem not good enough. still find ways to put you last meanwhile you uplift them and put them first. that talk was a hard one to digest but YOU have to show up for YOU. YOU have to love on yourself, show up for yourself, date yourself, look good for YOURSELF! the validation is just a bonus, not the end all be all. thanks again for the invite, thanks for always considering me, always including me, never forgetting about me, for listening, for us always seeing eye to eye, for impacting my life in a way that has always stayed with me !! love you ALWAYS @obey_ladykay by @knowur_role

an honor to be invited. surrounded by beautiful, big hearted, intelligent women. my first time being in such a setting and very inspiring to say the least. everyone’s journey is different & to be apart of it was a blessing. i could not have asked to be around a better group. all the moms, embrace yourself!!!!! your child doesnt define you. they’re just A PART of you. be kind to others. embrace the ones you love. people are suffering through things they dont always disclose. Dominique, to see you again after all these years was a true blessing. beautiful as always. kaykay, ive said it over and over. an amazing soul you are. you brought us all here, to listen, to learn and embrace each other. cant put that into words. we all showed up for you, but in the end, we showed up for each other. the love, understanding and support i cant describe. look forward to the next one!!! much love and respect!! @obey_ladykay by @knowur_role

the baby i just had just graduated!!! time flies smh my 2nd baby graduated on the same day at the same time. if only i could duplicate myself and be in 2 places at once!!! im so proud of my big baby!! she has to endure a lot and requires more help than the average kid but her affection is on 1000 & mama ALWAYS needs those hugs and kisses. from not talking at all to giving us a little something, some progress is better than none and i’m sooooo proud of you my baby. could not do it without your dad. onto kindergarten babygirl!! 👩🏽‍🎓🎈🥳💜😍 by @knowur_role

when i say i almost fucked my makeup up a few times!!!!?? i was heartbroken looking at my girl. i was sad to watch you grow up bc im so very proud. how beautiful, intelligent and persevering she is and has always been! i was in a rush for you to grow up bc parenting is sooooooo hard and i regret it. i wish that i could go back and hug you more, kiss you more, pick you up more ! time waits on no one and watching you had to have been one of the greatest moments of my life. you don’t feel time moving but you can definitely see it. idk how my lil baby went from preschool to middle school so fast. i wish that i could protect you from everything and everyone. all i can do is just be there. that’s all any kid would need. i didn’t have that so i wholeheartedly give that to you! i remember when avery was in preschool (all the first few pics) & anytime i yelled or told her to clean her room up she’d be like “ughhh mommy you’re so NANNOYING!!!!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 now she just calls me mom. i remember when avery was 1-2 & i was driving somewhere with her in the back and she was like “mommy” & i turned around like girl who are you talking to?! i forgot i was a whole mom and shit 🤣🤣🤣 i couldn’t get used to someone calling me mommy. i’m sooooo very proud of you Avery. i always was even if i had a weird way of showing it. you looked beautiful!! you came a long way, we hit this milestone, we got a few more to go. always remember, you don’t need a million people in your corner, just a few solid ones! i’ll ALWAYS show up for you, i’ll ALWAYS be in your corner. congratulations on the level up ! level 6 unlocked!! 🔓 my girl really getting to be such a beautiful young lady on me 🩵💚🩷 S/O to Mrs. Moore, you’re absolutely amazing!!!!! we got lucky having you. always in our hearts!!! i couldn’t find you to get a pic. i managed to show up in 2 places in the same night. i definitely changed cause in my 20’s ain’t no way in hell!! 🤣🤣 the invite meant so much to me! i stopped driving 7 years ago but i was welcomed in like im still part of the first student family!! thank you for your kindness, your wisdom, sense of humor and your free will to help me elevate! you did your thing last night. you’re small with real big energy! definitely enjoyed myself! thanks for the invite again. support you any time! p.s. nobody else could get me in a “club” for years! but i had to show up for you! @therealdjqt 🙏🏾💯🍸 by @knowur_role
