12 Conversations is out now on vinyl, CD and digitally. Link in bio.

Voice on Track 07 by Emma Maeda; text from Rainer Maria Rilke’s Primal Sound (1919). All 12 Conversations have been created in November-December 2022. The number following the track title refers to the original tracks released on Ryuichi Sakamoto’s album 12. A Japanese edition is also available on @skmtgram’s @commmons_official.

I am beyond excited about the upcoming release of This Will Be Us and the release concert with the DSO at the Berlin Philharmonic this month!

To countdown, I’ll be doing a series of listening events, both online and in person, where we will listen to my previous solo releases. I’m inviting anyone who’s interested to sit and listen with me and I will have the chat open for questions and thoughts. It’s a free event and open for anyone! In the spirit of shared listening, if people are interested and this format is exciting for us, I’m planning on continuing the listening events, so we can listen to exciting albums together. Kind of like an “album club”.

Art Meets Radical Openness is a biennial community festival for art, hacktivism, and open cultures. The two programme coordinators Davide Bevilacqua and Martina Pizzigoni @martina.pizzigoni discuss this year's edition, "Becoming Unreadable" about the topics of invisibility, unreadability, ungovernability, and uncomputability. 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 (𝗔𝗠𝗥𝗢) is a biennial community festival for art, hacktivism and open cultures.

Emerging from the hacker and free software scenes of the early 2000s, the festival now sits at the intersection of radical technology and critical media art. Through exhibitions, lectures, performances, and workshops, AMRO creates space to resist technological monocultures and to share, learn, and think collectively about the conditions of our networked present.

The 2026 edition, ᴮᵉᶜᵒᵐⁱⁿᵍ ᵁⁿʳᵉᵃᵈᵃᵇˡᵉ, approaches unreadability as both a response to radical transparency and a survival strategy amid intensified surveillance, burnout, and AI-driven extraction.

In a moment shaped by AI-assisted warfare and pervasive computation, what cultural forms can help us grasp, and potentially challenge, the dominant ideologies of networked technologies? Which strategies might lay the groundwork for alternative, regenerative logics within digital infrastructures?

AMRO26 brings together practices that resist extractive models of digitalisation and instead propose technical and non-technical alternatives to Big Tech and emerging AI oligarchies. These radical media art practices unsettle the assumptions of contemporary “smart” modernity, introducing aesthetic frictions into seamless digital environments to foreground slower, less spectacular, but more human forms of technological culture.
