Weekly Roundup !

Another busy week in the workshop! 🔧

First up, we had an Audi RS3 8P in for a new vacuum pump, racing brake fluid change, rear hard race toe arms and a full fast road/track setup.

Next was a Porsche Boxster for a post purchase inspection and general check over.

We then had an Audi SQ5 in to diagnose some bizarre vacuum related issues and warnings after some big repairs (trade job)

The Audi S3 came in for gearbox oil, engine oil, Haldex fluid, brake fluid change and a new sump gasket.

Next up was a Subaru Impreza WRX STI for a fast road setup and alignment.

We also fitted front and rear brakes to a VW Tiguan.

Then came another Cupra, which received lowering springs, new top mounts, polybush lower arms and a fast road setup.

Finally, another Cupra came in for a major service and fast road setup.

A seriously busy week with a bit of everything! Hope you enjoyed the highlights!👌

🔧 WEEKLY ROUNDUP 🔧

Another busy one at Kolatech, with plenty of cool stuff through the doors!

A few highlights from the week 👇

🏁 Audi RS3 8P
Deadset kit fitted, followed up with one of our Fast Road / Track Alignments to get everything dialled in properly.

🇯🇵 Honda Integra DC5 Type R
A proper steering refresh with @hardraceuk steering arms, solid rack slider and fresh steering components, finished off with a full Fast Road / Track Alignment.

🟢 Bentley Bentayga
Alignment setup and dialled back in to factory settings not something we get through the workshop every week!

And that’s just the highlights… there’s been plenty more going on behind the scenes this week including the cupra we did a separate post on!

Big jobs, small jobs, repairs, modifications and plenty of suspension & alignment work as always. 👌

📩 Got a car that needs setting up properly? Drop us a message to get booked in. by @kolatech_

Not the weekly roundup… just a proper Kolatech suspension job 🔧

This Cupra came in for a full suspension overhaul, finished off with one of our Fast Road / Track Full Setups.

🔧 Yellow Speed Racing @area_motorsport Spec coilovers
🔧 Front top mount holes modified for increased camber adjustment
🔧 @hardraceuk rear anti-roll bar
🔧 Hardrace rear camber arms
🔧 Hardrace rear toe arms
🔧 Whiteline rear drop links
🔧 Yellow Speed Racing adjustable front drop links
🔧 TAG DCC delete kit
🔧 Powerflex outer hub bushes

Every adjustable thread on the vehicle was stripped and greased to try and future proof the car.

Once everything was fitted, we went through the full setup on our laser levelled flat patch:

▪️ Ride heights
▪️ Front & rear droop ratios
▪️ Drop link preload
▪️ Damper click settings
▪️ Full 4-wheel alignment

The goal isn’t simply to fit coilovers and lower the car. Every part needs to work together, and the final setup needs to suit how the car is actually going to be driven. In this case, agressive fast road / mild track use. We dialled in the settings to suit the customers request.

Proper suspension work, properly set up. 👌

Weekly roundup will be back over the weekend! this one deserved its own post.

🔧 WEEKLY ROUNDUP AT KOLATECH 🔧

Last week was another busy week in the workshop with a proper mix of performance work, servicing, diagnostics and repairs. Here are a few of them!!

🏁 BMW M2 Competition
KW coilovers fitted and a full vehicle setup carried out. We also diagnosed a strange hesitation fault, fitting new turbocharger O-rings and air filters as part of the repair. And a rear differential service.

🔧 Audi SQ5
MOT fail on a rear coil spring. Rear spring replacement, lower rubber and some trim clips fitted and back on the road.

⚙️Passat 2.0tsi
Oil and inspection service and DSG service with online history update!

⚙️ Cupra ST
Full drivetrain service including DSG oil, front differential oil, rear differential oil and Haldex service.

🔋 Another Cupra
Thermostat and water pump replacement, along with a new 12V battery and a few other bits and pieces.

💡 Audi A1
A particularly satisfying one! Brought in with a suspect wiring fault that nobody else had managed to resolve. We got to the bottom of it, fitted an E1 switch, put some fuses back in the correct position 😳👀 and successfully fixed the fault.

A good random mix of jobs last week from suspension setups and performance work to servicing, diagnostics and some proper electrical fault finding.

Thanks as always for keeping us busy! 🔧🏁 by @kolatech_

Sorry for the lack of posting lately! 👋

We’ve been super busy behind the scenes, not only working on some awesome cars but also investing heavily into the business to keep improving things for you guys.

Here’s a little photo dump of some of what we’ve been up to over the past 3 weeks or so.

From sports cars and supercars to performance cars, modifications, repairs, wiring, MOT failures, super big head scratchers, servicing and geometries! we’ve had a bit of everything in the workshop!

We’ve also managed to squeeze in a race weekend running a GT4 car 🏁

We’ve still been active over on YouTube too, just been a bit rubbish at pushing the videos! 😂 So if you haven’t already, head over and give the channel a watch.

As always, a massive thank you to everyone who continues to support Kolatech. We’ve got plenty more exciting things coming, so stay tuned!

A very special one in the workshop!

This super rare Aston Martin DB7 GT came in for a full ignition refresh and with less than 10,000 miles on the clock, this is an incredibly special example. Manual V12 goodness!

Abit of digging shows only 190 DB7 GTs were produced worldwide, with just 70 currently recorded in the UK, 34 licensed and 36 SORN.

🔧 Genuine spark plugs
🔧 New intake manifold gaskets
🔧 Fresh set of OE ignition coilpacks

With the amount of dismantling and access required, you’re looking at around 5 hours labour to do the job properly. Not my most favourite spark plug jobs to do 😂

No shortcuts genuine/OE parts throughout for this beautiful Aston Martin.

Less than 10,000 miles. One seriously rare car. 🇬🇧

2020 Audi RS3 🔥

This absolutely immaculate, completely stock RS3 came into Kolatech for some proper preventative maintenance and a few worthwhile upgrades.

🔧 Spark plugs replaced
⚙️ DSG service
🛠️ Haldex service & pump clean
🏁 Braided brake lines fitted
💧 Full brake fluid flush using racing fluid

It’s always a pleasure working on cars like this. Completely original, incredibly clean and clearly very well cared for.

The perfect example of keeping a stock RS3 maintained properly rather than waiting for something to go wrong. 👌 job done ✅ by @kolatech_

Cupra with some 4 Pot Brembos!

A very clean Cupra in this morning for a set of upgraded brake pads for its 4 pot Brembo setup.

A nice little upgrade to keep the braking performance where it should be, while making the most of the Brembo hardware already fitted. Safe to say he got his money’s worth!

Always nice working on a car this clean! 👌
