My practice merges factual philosophy with metaphorical imagery, exploring themes of the self, fragility, and death. In my grad project, I am working on photographs and foam sculptures that explore the fluidity of identity, asking the question of whether death signifies a total erasure or a shift in a being.

Komma introducing —> Graduation work in process: Krystyna Gorayska @krystynagorayska

I am an artist working with images, video, material, and sound. My main focus circulates around the question of conditioned mindset and its impact on society and collective thinking. I found my interest in its influence on values on an individual level. I aspire to explore the complexities of trauma in the socio-political landscape – in this regard my practice serves as research. My focus is concentrated on East Europe and rethinking its position in the global context taking in regard the burden of XXth century.

This year I’ve been exploring my experiences with psychosis during the summer of 2022. My grad work explores delusions and hallucinations I’ve experienced through the act of staging. My work blends memories, fiction and reality through both video and photography.
