Wait for it…

She knew how to say a few words already, but struggled with learning new ones or mimicking anything we said. This was the first time she all of a sudden perfectly started mimicking everything we said. Took us all by surprise! In other words, the sky is the limit now on what she can learn.

‼️Re-uploaded b/c Instagram muted the original!!! In this video I put away 99% of my toddler’s toys and books to see how she would react to a more minimalist environment!

No screens, only a few books and toys. Not only did it seem like it helped my baby, it was a lot less stressful for me too! Consider trying this method with your little one. Declutter and rotate toys instead of just leaving everything out and accessible.

This only works if they have an attachment to a stuffed animal… How you do that is simple:

1. Name the stuffed animal
2. Expose the stuffed animal to your baby
3. Repeatedly say the stuffed animal’s name
4. Create positive memories with said stuffed animal

After months of doing this, your baby (even if your baby can’t speak) will know that stuffed animal by name. Model actions like hugging, patting, and speaking gently and lovingly to said stuffed animal. Most likely your toddler will do the same to it.

Anyways, only then you can use the stuffed animal method to get your toddler to actually want to find them when you ask.

It only takes 15 minutes but tasted amazing. Parents, don’t neglect yourself. Take the time to make a good meal for yourself at least once a week 😭

Ingredients:

-Italian pasta
-Italian parsley
-white wine (Sauvignon blanc)
-Extra virgin olive oil
-garlic
-shrimp
-anchovies (optional)
-lemon
-butter
-any cheese you like (optional) (preferably parmesan)
-red pepper flakes (optional)
-salt
-pepper
-any other veggies or protein you wanna add like cherry tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, etc.

If you don’t get it, that might be a good thing 😂

Basically, we pull the nose out thinking it’ll help the nose not be so flat, since Asians tend to have flat noses/faces. For the legs, massaging like that is said to help lengthen the legs since Asians dislike short legs. It’s also to help prevent bow legs. Most of these things do nothing btw 😂, but people still do it because it feels like we’re making some kind of difference 👀

Is this parenting? 😅

My toddler was throwing a tantrum because she didn’t want to eat her breakfast, but also because I took away her screen time. When I took my phone out to record this video, she immediately calmed down by 80% which is why she doesn’t seem to be “throwing a tantrum”. I still somehow got her to finish 90% of her food before giving her the ice cream though, but it was a battle!

To my daughter anything that is cold and sweet is “ice cream”, so apologies if you’re confused because you expected me to whip out an actual ice cream haha.

What’s your toddler’s favorite word that makes him/her calm down?
