POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Looking back on an extraordinary journey of directing a documentary that touched my heart and transformed me in ways I never imagined.

It was an absolute privilege to capture the compelling stories of these incredible individuals and collaborate with them hand in hand. Their overwhelming joy, heartfelt appreciation, and deep emotional connection to the film reminded me of the incredible power of storytelling to create profound impact.

Their feedback resonated deeply, reinforcing our unwavering commitment to crafting authentic narratives that touch hearts and inspire change. I am profoundly grateful to each participant for entrusting us with their stories and for being with us every step of this beautiful journey. Here's to the magic of documentaries, sharing stories that ignite compassion and transform lives.

#DocumentaryJourney #PowerOfStorytelling #gratitude by @kormbat

It has been a great pleasure of mine to direct the participatory documentary “When the Dust Settles” that tells the stories of refugee families in the UK, in the period following reunion.

Being a part of this documentary and traveling to different cities to capture the stories of refugee families post-reunion has truly touched my heart. This project has been a journey for me, both as a filmmaker and as a person. As someone who has been away from my own family for a while and looking forward to seeing them someday, this documentary has taken on a special significance for me. It has brought me closer to understanding the struggles and triumphs of those who have been separated from their loved ones.

The process of filmmaking has been an education, but more importantly, the lives of our participants have taught me so much about humanity and the incredible stories of resilience and strength that I’ve had the privilege to witness.

The documentary and photo exhibition are the result of a @thebritishacademy funded research run by @everyday.dev and @togethernowuk which will contribute to a better understanding of the longer term experiences of reunited families in a context dominated by challenges and uncertainties, as well as resilience and possibilities.

The documentary will be launched during UEA Refugee Week on 7th March, alongside a photography exhibition that displays photographs taken by participant families.

Try this EASY mixed media effect
Perfect for vlogs, music videos, or adding a cool moment to any edit. Save this for later!
I used @higgsfield.ai Mixed Media feature to generate an origami-style clip.

Edited in @capcutapp by overlaying the clips and masking for a clean split-screen effect.

Recap of a deeply inspiring evening @unwomenuk last years event.
It was an honour to document a night dedicated to celebrating gender changemakers. Hearing the stories in the room was moving, powerful, and reaffirmed my passion for capturing meaningful moments in development work.

Congratulations once again to all the winners, and well done to everyone who made this remarkable evening possible.

Get a sneak peak into the essence of our documentary, ‘Made for More’. ✨🙌🏾

We used this short clip for our award highlights, and it beautifully showcases the powerful narrative that @dashrollz @kormbat @disabilitydevelopmentpartners and I have brought to life.✨
