Many of you know my ridiculous passion for baroque theatre, music, gestures and aesthetics. It was always a dream of mine to direct myself some baroque performance... and so it came unexpectedly - this year I was offered to direct the whole opera with gestures on a unique, amazing little baroque theatre in Märstetten in Switzerland!

And so there were 10 months of active organizing and tons of preparations with search of a proper piece(s), building up a concept, coaching gestures and movements for the choir and soloists, planning and searching for costumes and painting some pieces of set and making props by my own. And of course constant thoughts and uneasy birth of the script.

Well, there were many helping hands of dear friends: Sigrid T'Hooft in baroque directing, Niels Badenhop, @mojca.gal - in costumes.

Also many thanks for trust in me and my crazy opulent ideas and endeavours, for support and help in organizing, for infinite patience and zeal in learning to @julia_hagenmueller, another thanks for patience to all my dear singers @eva_marti_mezzosoprano, @_marcoafc and to the whole Ensemble Praetorius! Today is our premiere, please enjoy it as much as possible! Toi toi toi!

✨ Still glowing from the magic of Dornburger Schlössernacht 2025!

Yesterday our Barockduo il Galateo was lucky to present not one, but two concerts — each tailored to its historic setting.

🏛️ In the Rokokosaal, we were happy to bathe in the high Baroque setting – music and costume in harmony with the refined architecture of the palace.

🏰 In the Alte Schloss, with its Renaissance wooden ceiling and more austere atmosphere, we turned to the early Baroque repertoire and matching costume

Baroque gestures, candle-like Rembrandt lighting, and even a table laid out as if from a Dutch painting — all wove together into a living tableau of past delights.

We are deeply grateful to the organizers for their warm care and flawless planning, and to the audience with their phenomenal attention and for joining us on this journey through time. 💫 taken in Dornburger Schlösser by @kotjashka

Got caught by talented Philip Kreibig @kovii_media at the @musikfestion before the last concert of our tour with @chorwerk_ruhr. It was dedicated to the choir's
25-years anniversary and the program was a blast, filled with breathtaking pieces from Mendelssohn, Herrenberg, and the crown jewel of the choir rep - Poulenc's "Figure Humaine". Oh, what a joy it was!🤩

Der Höhepunkt des zamus: early music festival ist die Aufführung von „Botanica“ am 31. Mai in der @tanzfaktur 🌱Unter der
Leitung von Bernd Niedecken, einem Experten für Barocktanz, geht es um die Frage, wie wir Menschen uns von der Vorstellung lösen können, dass nur die Menschheit und die Tiere unsere Erde beeinflussen. Tänzer:innen, Musiker:innen, Schauspieler:innen und eine Videokünstlerin zeigen, wie wir uns in eine Welt einfügen können, die von vielen verschiedenen Organismen geprägt ist, von denen wir oft wenig wissen. Dabei bezieht Niedecken auch aktuelle Umweltprobleme in die Aufführung ein.
