“Čičorlinkist” (engl. “waking the birds”) in its archaic sounds takes us to the shores of the baltic sea. This livonian folk song is about the spring awakening and connected to the idea that birds carry the spirits of our ancestors. It calls upon animals and humans to come back from a long winter’s hibernation. But only the fat fishes, peaceful animals and good children - the others may stay somewhere else. Once a powerful baltic tribe, today only a handful of people are speaking the Livonian language.

2016… oof what a rough year. I was in the second year of my Master’s degree in Cologne. Sang my first role - Hermia in Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream! That was a highlight! I was surrounded by the people who still remain some of my closest friends now 🥹 But other than that… I have a lot of sympathy for that version of me, I was really going through it and figuring a lot of things out 🙈 also - how long was my hair!? obviously wearing chokers, loafers and the Dior tribal earrings all the time. I also didn’t know yet that cool toned colours don’t suit me - but that was the least of my problems 🥲

Back home after one my favourite projects of the last years 🥹
What a privilege to make music with such talented friends and colleagues in such a special and truly beautiful place as #kleineopermärstetten and what a joy to see our project “Pasticcio Amoroso” coming to life in a very intense, condensed and loving week.
THANK YOU ❤️🌟

✨ Still glowing from the magic of Dornburger Schlössernacht 2025!

Yesterday our Barockduo il Galateo was lucky to present not one, but two concerts — each tailored to its historic setting.

🏛️ In the Rokokosaal, we were happy to bathe in the high Baroque setting – music and costume in harmony with the refined architecture of the palace.

🏰 In the Alte Schloss, with its Renaissance wooden ceiling and more austere atmosphere, we turned to the early Baroque repertoire and matching costume

Baroque gestures, candle-like Rembrandt lighting, and even a table laid out as if from a Dutch painting — all wove together into a living tableau of past delights.

We are deeply grateful to the organizers for their warm care and flawless planning, and to the audience with their phenomenal attention and for joining us on this journey through time. 💫
