It’s been some time since Lily is not around and there hasn’t been a day that’s gone by without thinking about her. Missing her silly smile, belly rubs, motorbike rides, beach hangouts, her hair all over the sofa.

She was a best friend, a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, life of the party, adventurous soul.

She had the best dog life ever - so many people around that loved her and took care of her. She was as free as one can be, a bit too adventurous sometimes (literally going out to parties and taking motorbike rides from strangers). Could never be locked in a house or behind a fence, would always find a way out to be around people. We can only live with hope that she’s living her best life somewhere else now and she’s all good and healthy. And we’re still hoping that one day she decides to visit. Either way we are grateful for the time we had with her and know that she had the happiest life here.

Since we couldn’t say our goodbyes, and never found out what really happened and probably never will, just wanted to have her here as a good memory.

Still grieving, trying to figure out the new ‘normal’ without her, but still hoping for her to just show up on our doorstep one day like nothing ever happened. by @koudix
