I recently had the tremendous honor of returning to the Del Shores Foundation Writer’s Festival for a third time, and I must say, they truly get better every year. Never have I known a place so welcoming and uplifting. Thank you for having me back, what a spectacular weekend of learning and community 💕

On Monday night, I finally got to be a part of CoLab, a collaborative evening of creativity by my friends at Fat Squirrel as part of their season announcement event. I had 40 minutes to write a monologue in response to a phenomenal dance performance. This is what I came up with. Big thank you to my friends at Fat Squirrel, particularly Andrea for having me, and Mallory for whipping her iPhone out to record this 🖤🖤🖤 by @kr_willoughby

Improv Big guy Couch okay, or whatever Ice Spice said.

(Yes, I am wearing the Out On A Limb shirt that didn’t come in until after I’d graduated. No, I don’t care that I’m not in college anymore, I am getting my mileage out of that thing one way or another.) by @kr_willoughby

If you haven’t heard already, last month I was honored as a Finalist in the Del Shores Foundation Writer’s Search. This is my third time receiving this award, and I’m beyond honored that the Del Shores Foundation continues to value my work as a playwright. This organization does such important work uplifting LGBTQ+ writers here in the South, and I’m proud to be a part of the family.

Huge thank you to my friends @delshores @emersoncollins and the lovely folks at the @delshoresfoundation 🧡💙 by @kr_willoughby
