Glad I dove into this series. It’s been a while since I’ve had a nice gritty read, and it definitely held up. by @krgangi

Half Priced Books find. Looks like I’ll have to update the rest of them, too 🙃 Are you even a fan if you’re not down with the Old Republic? by @krgangi

Not only am I making an effort to read more in 2026 (I really slacked this year) but I plan to include a lot of indie titles. We’re kicking off tonight with The Envoys of War by Dave Lawson.

What a humbling experience this was. Not only did TOL place 5th in the contest, but I had the opportunity to meet some great people and read some fantastic books along the way. A huge thanks to all the finalists who helped me during this process. I will always appreciate you. Don't be strangers!

Congratulations to @jlodom.author and @adrianmgibson for the thrilling finale and Jl for taking home the trophy!

A huge thanks to @mark___lawrence for ten years of #spfbo and all the judges who took the time to read each of our stories. I can't imagine grinding through this many books in a year, let alone managing the contest itself. Never forget that we appreciate you.

And a huge thanks to the #spfbo community, especially those authors who entered but weren't selected, and those selected and not chosen as a finalist. Your stories are great, and if this competition proved anything, it's that there's a reader out there waiting for you. Don't give up. by @krgangi

Sometimes the best thing I can do for my writing is to sit down and enjoy a good book. And this one freakin’ rocks. by @krgangi
