Just a lil Friday Flatlay 🤘🏻

This one was random, mostly going for the blues & orange esthetic. Let me know if you see any good ones or ones you want to read! 👀

I'm barely surviving this heat wave & doing some reading & writing today. Going to the fair with my daughter tomorrow for the 4th! 🎆

Hope everyone has a fun & safe weekend! 💙

So here is Dangerously Under Read Part 2, where I go through part 1 of my TBR list of books that I NEED to read that have less than 100 ratings on Goodreads. These books all seem fantastic and more people just need to find them. #books #fantasybooks #bookdiscovery #indiebooks

Bookmatch is a genius idea

As soon as I heard about it, I had to send in an application to join their ranks.

As long as you have an active reviewer platform you too can dig through their catalogue of books on offer (in exchange for honest reviews)

Feast your eyes on the selection that stood out to me, they'll be added to my library soon.

✨ Happy Friday! ✨

I was tagged in the 🍁 Five Finger Challenge 🍁 by @esmayrosalyne who did a did a trad and indie version… so naturally I had to follow her method too 😍

💫 Pinky - A book I promise to read

• The Oathsworn Legacy by @krgangi
• Wild Reverence

💫 Ring - A book with a character I’d marry - rough around the edges, but devoted

• Ember and Steel by @dkmorgan_writes - Gwithyas
• Wild Side - West

💫 Middle - A book with a character I loathe

• A Soul Divided by @danielmquilter - 169 - a walking apocalypse with an ego
• Zodiac Academy - Lionel - it’s personal at this point

💫 Index - A book I will always recommend

• The Price of Power by @michaelmichelauthor - brutal but addictive
• Take My Hand - prepare for emotional devastation

💫 Thumb - A book that deserves two thumbs up

• The World-Maker Parable by @luke_tarzian - such a twisty psychological mind game that makes you wonder “what did I just read?” in the best way.
• Wayward Pines Trilogy - Short and Bingeable with creepy small town vibes

Tagging a few to join in, but as always, no pressure! ❤️

It’s Indie April, so here are some underhyped indie books for you to read, all of which have less than 100 ratings!

They also all come with the Dave Seal of Approval!

Which ones are already on your TBR? Which ones are you adding?

March / April 📚

Little March Reading Wrap-up & April Hopefuls!

Full transparency: Y'all, I'm fried. This was a lazy post & my Bday is in 2 days followed by Easter & my Dad staying with me over the weekend. So I'll be a bit slow on here for the next week!

I have had some amazing reads lately, however I have been burnt out & in a major slump. So If I said I will read your book, please forgive me. I want to read all the books but I'm slow right now with both my reading & posting reviews. I'm slowly catching up. 🫶🏼💙

It started feeling like work, once I started putting deadlines ( on myself, not due to anyone else whatsoever ) so now I'm trying to enjoy the moment & go with my mood while also tackling the TBR. Sometimes you just need to reevaluate habits & change it up!

Anyways this is what I'm feeling like reading for April while still working my way through March reads. 😅 Honestly loving all of it just don't want to rush myself. Very curious to see how things change or what I end up reading!

Books I'm excited to read off my shelf. 📚

I gave you some books that exceeded, met & did not meet my expectations. My TBR is insane so I didn't share all that but here are some books from my shelves that I'm looking forward to reading!

💭 See any you love or are excited to read?!

@aliciathebookdragon tagged me in her #blue book stack. So I decided to also make a black and blue stack of books. I hope you all enjoy this pile of books! #books #fantasybooks friends - dragons - book stack - flat lay - black and blue - corgi - corgisofbookstagram

Indie Book Mail 📚✨

🗯️Do you typically read Book Blurbs? Or do you focus more on genre/themes/tropes?

I'm a bit behind on posts so I figured I'd feature some of my more recent book mail over the last couple months. I'm excited for all of these!

My friend @devan_lindey tagged me on the other app to post 10 #books from my #tbr and though I cannot count I did have a lot of fun holding books. And I’m so excited for all of them. - fantasy books - Science fiction books - TBR - friends - tag - books - fun

✨• 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 •✨

❓ QOTD : Which format do you prefer? Or do you read multiple books or stick to one at a time?

Personally I always have like 6? books going at the same time 😅
Here’s just a few I’ve got going in their different formats

ꜰᴏʀᴄᴇᴅ ʙᴏɴᴅꜱ by @jbreeauthor
ʙᴇᴛᴡᴇᴇɴ ꜰʟᴀᴍᴇꜱ ᴀɴᴅ ᴅᴇᴄᴇɪᴛ by @mafrick.author
ᴛʜᴇ ᴏᴀᴛʜꜱᴡᴏʀɴ ʟᴇɢᴀᴄʏ @krgangi

I’ve got a ✨system✨
• Audiobooks are for my commute to and from work or when I’m doing housework
• E-books on my kindle for when I’m laying in bed
• Physical copies for when I have time to sit and read at home on the couch

Also I snuck a pic of my kindle stickers from @bookishshopcanada_ in there because I’m actually obsessed with them 😍
