My Second Book Signing for the Anthology, Friends and Family Lost was an incredible success!! I am so grateful to all the friends, family, and the community that came to support us. I was honored to work alongside the other contributing authors who invited me to join them in this worthwhile project and event @authortrunnisgoggins and @duagoodjob Approximately 85 people attended to show their support and appreciation for the cause of spreading awareness for coping with loss. Next Chapter Bookstore thank you for hosting us. My first Book Signing(and definitely not the last)for my novel, From Ash to Ashes, was last night at @themillriverclub Club members, close friends and family gathered for my official Book Launch and Signing!! It was a surreal experience signing my published work to so many different people from all backgrounds and ages who have either loved reading my novel and bought more for family members or others who had heard such great things about it they were excited to read it! Many more have asked for an author Q&A session that I’m definitely going to do and open the doors for everyone interested in the coming months… I appreciate all your support even those who were not present or who could not make it to this particular event. Deeply honored to be recognized as an Honoree by the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying (LICAB)—but even more honored to stand behind the work they do. 🤍
As an educator, I’ve had the opportunity to witness LICAB’s impact firsthand in our schools. Their work goes far beyond simply telling children not to bully. They educate, advocate and empower—helping young people recognize bullying, understand their rights, find their voice, support one another, and know where to turn when they need help.
In 2024–2025 alone, LICAB reached 11,545 students across 325 classrooms and 35 Long Island schools and districts.
But behind every statistic is a child who may feel a little less alone because someone showed up for them.
One of the messages I shared in my speech is something I believe at every age:
Another person’s treatment of you does not determine your worth.
I am incredibly grateful for this recognition and proud to use my platform to shine a light on an organization doing such meaningful work in our community.
