For the third and fourth courses on the road to becoming a guide, we had a four-day first aid course followed by a 10-day basic climbing course.

We went through knots, placements, ropes, belay devices, rescue and a whole lot more — and, of course, did a lot of climbing!

21.08.2026 was the day my mom passed away after being ill for some time.

No words can really describe the feeling of watching someone you love slowly disappear, step by step, until there is no more. It’s incredibly sad, and it leaves a huge hole in your life.

But at the same time, I feel some relief knowing that my mom can finally rest. And I’m forever grateful for all the time we got to spend together.

Mom was my anchor in life. We FaceTimed almost every day, celebrated Christmas together — just the two of us, went on walks, drove through Norway several times on the way to my new home, talked about life for hours and hours, and so much more.

It’s strange knowing that none of that will happen again. But I’m grateful that it happened at all, and that we invested so much time in each other’s lives.

I could probably write a book about all the memories, conversations and time we spent together, but this will have to do.

I haven’t posted much on social media lately. Posting about adventures and all the cool things happening in my life felt strange when such a big part of my life was missing. And at the same time, it felt even stranger not saying anything about the person who meant the world to me.

So, mom, I miss you, and you will forever have a place in my heart.

Alpinprogrammet x VPG

Vi er skikkelig glade for å få med VPG på laget!

VPG har vært en del av det norske fjellmiljøet lenge, og det merkes. Her møter du folk som faktisk bruker utstyret de selger, på klatretur, ski og lange dager i fjellet. De vet hva som fungerer, hva som ikke gjør det, og hvorfor. Det er akkurat den typen folk vi liker å samarbeide med!

For oss handler samarbeidet først og fremst om å koble deltakerne våre tettere på gode folk, god kunnskap og utstyr som er laget for å brukes. Vi tror VPG passer veldig godt inn i det vi prøver å skape med Alpinprogrammet og gleder oss til fortsettelsen🥳 taken in Oppdal by @kriskopa

Mange av redningsaksjonene i fjellet handler om å hjelpe klatrere som står fast.

Det er sjelden én stor feil som skaper situasjonen, men heller en kjede av små valg underveis. Et litt for optimistisk tidsestimat, en rute som viser seg å være mer krevende enn antatt, eller forhold som endrer seg raskere enn planlagt.

Når du først er i veggen eller høyt til fjells, kan det være krevende å snu uten å være helt trygg på metoden.

Derfor har vi i alpinprogrammet satt av en hel dag til å bli trygge på å baile, på en måte som ivaretar sikkerheten hele veien ned. 🆘 Slik er vi bedre rusta og trygge på hva vi skal gjøre dersom noe uforutsett skulle skje. taken in Romsdalen by @kriskopa
