POSTS STORIES REELS

If you have an established online program or course, but your marketing isn’t producing the sales you expected, you’re in the right place.

Here are the primary ways I support clinicians with their marketing:

📝 FUNNEL EVAL & TX PLAN
𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘌𝘝𝘈𝘓 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴

This is where most clinicians start.

I review your existing funnel (email, sales page, strategy) to identify the gaps that may be affecting your results. Then I create a clear “treatment plan” outlining what to change and why. You can implement it yourself or use the plan to confidently outsource.

📧 EMAIL MARKETING
𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘌𝘔𝘈𝘐𝘓 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥

I help clinicians improve welcome sequences, nurture emails, and launch emails so your audience clearly understands the value of your offer and feels confident enrolling.

I offer both single projects and ongoing email marketing management.

📊 FUNNEL & LAUNCH STRATEGY
𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘍𝘜𝘕𝘕𝘌𝘓 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘰

If your funnel or launch feels messy, inconsistent, or outdated — I help you improve your strategy, messaging, and implementation for your launch.

I can support one piece of your launch or oversee the full strategy.

🚫 What I don’t usually do…

I generally don’t write blogs, websites, or do social media. However, I have trusted people in my network that I can refer you to!

Speaking of OT…

I have packages, processes, and frameworks, but like a true OT, 𝘐 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘪𝘥𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘺 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.

I’m not here to force your business into a box just for the sake of productivity.

So even if you’re not sure what you need or how it will work out — feel free to reach out and start the conversation. We’ll figure it out!

Hi, I’m Krista Frahm. 👋

I became an occupational therapist in 2009. Then, in 2021, I retrained into marketing.

I had no idea how much my clinical training would shape the way I approach marketing strategy.

Assessment first.
Pattern recognition.
Understanding context.
Thinking holistically.
Looking for the root cause instead of jumping straight to intervention.

It’s the same healthcare perspectives and OT frameworks — just applied in a different setting.

Over the years, I’ve worked with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other specialized clinicians who have online programs or courses. My work helps them reach more people while creating more flexibility in their own lives.

Many practitioners that I've worked with had already tried outsourcing marketing.

And I kept hearing the same things:

“𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘵.”
“𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘱𝘺 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦.”
“𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯’𝘵 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘯𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘵.”

Hearing how much they paid for poor support made me crazy.

Practitioners deserve marketing that respects their credentials, reflects the nuance of their work, and still communicates clearly enough for potential clients to understand how they can be helped.

That’s exactly the kind of work I do now.

I help specialized clinicians improve their email marketing, funnels, and launches so their online offers generate the sales they hoped for when they created them.

If you’re here because something in your marketing hasn’t been working the way it should — or because you’re tired of spending hours going round and round with AI — you’re in the right place.

Send me a message and tell me your biggest marketing frustration.

You’re a specialized, credentialed clinician.

You’ve invested years in your training, and the work you do genuinely helps people.

So it can feel confusing — and honestly frustrating — when your online program doesn’t sell the way you expect it to.

I’ve worked with occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, physicians, and other healthcare providers who began wondering if they were the problem.

In every case, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯’𝘵.

> Their expertise wasn’t the issue.
> Their program wasn’t the issue.
> And they definitely didn’t need another certification.

The real issue was how their brilliance was being communicated.

Clinicians naturally think holistically. You see patterns, understand complex systems, and recognize that outcomes depend on many variables.

But the person reading your marketing isn’t looking for a dissertation.

They’re simply trying to understand:

𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘮𝘦?
𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵?
𝘐𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥?

Good marketing answers those questions clearly while still respecting the complexity of your work.

Hi, I’m Krista Frahm — an occupational therapist turned marketing strategist and copywriter.

I help specialized practitioners grow their online programs through clear, ethical email marketing and sales funnel support.

If your email marketing or funnel is running but not bringing in enough sales, send me a message. We can talk through the symptoms and what interventions make sense for your business.

An SLP asked me why she’d pay for my feedback on her emails or sales page when AI can write the whole thing.

Fair question.

So I asked her one back. Would she trust AI to give the right swallow strategies for each specific client’s impairments?

🤔

AI generates responses based on patterns. It’s very good at generating the most common or likely correct response or sequence of words.

It doesn’t deeply, intuitively know your audience. It hasn’t sat with clients, heard the hesitation in their voice, or watched which explanations finally click.

I’m not fully convinced it can tell you which change on your sales page matters most for the people you serve right now.

That takes a human brain that has been in it and understands you and your goals.

Use AI if it helps you. (I certainly do.) Then get someone who knows conversion strategy, sales psychology, and your clinical world to look at it and provide the human perspective.

Have you had AI rewrite something for you and not been sure whether the new version was actually better? by @kristafrahmagency

I’ve been finalizing a workshop for practitioners on how to evaluate your last launch so you can plan the next one.

I originally planned to teach it next week, then three new project inquiries landed in my inbox, so I paused to see if I was the right person for the job.

Although I know better, my own promotion and launches often get bumped when clients have needs. That’s the tradeoff of running a small business with limited support.

Anyway, a few days ago, I ran through the whole workshop out loud and ruthlessly cut it back. The version I wrote made sense on paper, but was too much to work through live.

Ironically, that's part of what I teach in the workshop - how the first draft (or any AI draft) is usually over-written and needs to be drastically trimmed back.

This prep-and-refine part is unglamorous and where a lot of us stall out.

Teaching is fun, but reviewing, rehearsing, and redoing aren't.

But it's worth the effort.

The workshop will be ready soon.

Almost every practitioner I talk to says a version of this: “𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘺 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘴.”

I get where it comes from. You want to respect the people who have joined your list and not spam them. You’ve spent a career being aware of consent and boundaries. Your instincts are good.

But here are two things to remember:

1. People consented by joining your email list, and they can leave anytime.

2. Sending more emails isn’t the only lever you have when it comes to your email list.

Three of the six ideas in my free Email Income Boosts resource don’t require sending additional emails.

You can make a few changes to what you already send: where your point sits, what you ask for, how people can say yes.

Earning more from your email list doesn’t mean you have to send a zillion emails.

Q4 tends to sneak up on us.

If you’re planning a promotion or sale during the upcoming holiday season, and you’re feeling more 😵‍💫🫣 than 🧘🏾✌🏼 , you’re not the only one.

Drop a GIF to tell me how you’re feeling, then DM me if you’d like a little support.

Launching is a LOT. You don’t have to do it solo. by @kristafrahmagency

We moved houses this year, and during the whole prep and transition - my email list took the hit.

There were about 100 people on it, but I hadn’t promoted it in about a year. I figured there were no buyers on it anyway, which made it easy to keep ignoring. (Meanwhile, I happily wrote emails to my clients’ lists!)

Then, my business coach pointed out the obvious... “You’re an email marketing strategist who doesn’t email her own list. Let’s see what happens if you email them.”

Once I got over being embarrassed about that, I started sending short, specific emails with a clear offer.

A couple flopped, but one offer landed and brought in around $500 from the list I’d written off.

It’s not life-changing money, but it’s certainly enough to celebrate.

Another fun part was reading the replies from clinicians on my list. They told me what they were working on, what they’d tried, and where they were getting stuck.

It was wonderful to reconnect and also provided rich audience research.

If your list has gone quiet or has been ignored, now is a great time to re-activate it.

I put together a free resource of six ways to connect with your email list and boost sales. (Without being sleazy, salesy, or pushy.)

Happy World OT Day, OT weirdos. 😉

This one’s for the OTs and OTAs practicing somewhere the textbooks didn’t cover: running a business, consulting, teaching, building a product, creating a role that didn’t exist until you made it.

Activity analysis, environmental modification, and person-centered support don’t stop working when you leave a traditional setting.

If you’ve ever felt like the only one doing OT “differently,” you’re not. Since working with an Ad Hoc Committee and saying yes to co-facilitating the Innovative Practice and Entrepreneurship CoP, I've heard from SO MANY OTs and OTAs doing amazing, out-of-the-box things.

The theme of World OT Day this year is Participation Matters.

I firmly believe that OTs and OTAs can (and do) promote meaningful participation no matter where we use our skills.

That may be within a “typical” context like hospitals, schools, and home health... or it may be in a totally non-traditional context such as designing airports or coaching t-ball.

While "OT weirdos" won't show up in any official documentation or publications, it does seem to be the term that many of us resonate with (proudly). 😉

Tell me where your OT or OTA degree has taken you that you never expected... or the coolest place you’ve seen an OT practitioner in action. 👇

Pic was from day 3 of the AOTA conference in Philly, when I was very tired and not a fan of the rain, but still excited to show up, connect, and hang out! by @kristafrahmagency

Happy World OT Day to every OT and OTA out there!

This year’s theme is Participation Matters. That idea didn’t stay behind when I left the clinic.

I spent ten years as a clinical occupational therapist before moving into marketing. I’m still an OT. My license is current, and the way I think hasn't changed, although my job title did.

When a clinician hands me their emails or sales page, I’m asking the same questions I asked in the clinic:

→ What is this person trying to do?
→ What’s getting in the way?
→ What environment are they functioning in?
→ What small change could make the biggest difference?
→ How can I be a facilitator so the individual can participate fully and reach their goals?

When a clinician’s marketing is effective, more people find solutions that help them engage in their lives and meaningful occupations again. That’s still occupational therapy. It just looks different now.

To the OTs and OTAs in clinics, schools, homes, and hospitals, and the ones building something totally outside-the-box: thank you for helping people participate in what matters to them.

What’s one OT skill you use every day outside of treatment? by @kristafrahmagency

When I went to my first AOTA conference in Kansas City, I was relatively new in business and wondered if it would be worth it.

Looking back, I can say with absolute certainty that it was.

Not because of the sessions, although there were some good ones, but because of the connections.

Here's one of the best memories:
Sydney Marshman and Pooja A. Patel had requested a space for #OTpreneurs to meet up.

Many of us were doing innovative, non-traditional, outside-the-box things as OTPs and had become “online friends” without ever meeting in person. They wanted a place where we could connect and bring in all of the other OTs and OTAs like us together.

They asked for a large room, but were only given a small space.

Then, way too many OTpreneurs showed up! (see pic) 🥳

It turned into standing room only, and as people kept showing up, we ended up spilling into the hallway. If there's one thing OT entrepreneurs do well, it's adapt, so the hallway turned into our extended networking space.

That meetup has grown and changed shape since then, but the core is the same: connect in person, network, share ideas, and support each other.

Sydney and Pooja weren’t the first OTs to advocate for space for us, but they were some of the first I knew of, because I was new.

One OT I know was advocating for occupational therapy in the community and outside the medical model before I was even born.

Every OT and OTA who has seen a gap in services and stepped into it, spoken up in rooms where they were the only OTP, or pushed to teach outside the usual OT spaces has helped get us here.

Sarah Larsen and Ann Marie Dundas co-led an AOTA Ad Hoc Committee which led to the formation of the Innovative Practice and Entrepreneurship CoP.

My piece here is small. Ann Marie and I are the names on the paperwork, but this space belongs to all innovative and entrepreneurial OTPs, including the ones who came decades before us.

The CoP will only be as valuable as the perspectives and experiences people bring into the room.

The open house is Thursday, November 12, 7–8 pm ET on Zoom. Every OT practitioner is welcome, AOTA member or not. by @kristafrahmagency

During my recent business trip to Ohio, I phoned in to my kid’s medical appointment from Chicago Midway, not long after missing a flight. (see pic)

Not ideal. Also exactly why I have structured my business the way it is.

I didn't set out to create a business just for wealth. I want the flexibility to take the day off for a sick kid or slow down if they're struggling.

I want to be able to drop everything when my parent needs to go to the ED. And to be mentally and emotionally present for my family and myself, not just physically in the room while my brain stresses about business.

Don't get me wrong... I also want to earn good money. I love to travel. I love supporting fundraisers for nonprofits in our valley and beyond. And the house we recently bought needs a new roof AND a new HVAC system, like yesterday.

That’s why Holly Marie Haynes’s life-first approach resonated with me. The plan fits around your life, not the other way around.

Her "Backstage Pass" is next week.
It's two days on Zoom, October 21 + 22 at 12pm ET, and just $22 for both.

You build your business scorecard with your real numbers, map your 2027 Revenue Roadmap with Holly and her COO Katy, and leave with your next 90 days planned. It’s also a low-cost way to see whether Holly and her team are a fit before you invest in anything bigger.

If you want 2027 to bring in good money and still leave room for the people you love, grab your pass. DM me “backstage” and I'll send you the link. by @kristafrahmagency
