🎃 BOO! 👻 Did we scare you? Probably not as much as the topic haunting corporate America right now. Burnout. 🔥🔥🔥 The kind that disguises itself as ambition. Gets rewarded as dedication. And convinces you that just one more thing is all you need to finish before you can finally relax. Spoiler alert: there's always one more thing. For this episode of Change Unscripted, I'm sitting down with one of my favorite people, @kristibritto Co-Founder & COO of SORCE, and we're getting real about ambition, leadership, perfectionism, and what happens when the drive to succeed starts taking more out of you than you have to give. Because here's the thing: being great at your job shouldn't require being completely depleted by it. So grab your emotional support coffee ☕, put down the 47 things you're trying to juggle (yes, I'm talking to myself, too), and give this one a listen. 🎙️ Season 2, Episode 1: Running on Empty: When Ambition Becomes Burnout 🎧 Listen now on Spotify and Apple Podcasts! I am a mom of two kids. A 15+ year entrepreneur. A human taxi. A snack plate builder. A soccer sideline yeller (working on that). A wife who likes her husband. A chef. A laundry queen. A crime drama binge watcher. A walker (not a runner). A recovering perfectionist and over-doer. And everything in between. People ask me how I do it all. I don’t. What I’ve learned, while ironically building a company about human energy, is that the goal was never to become better at carrying more. It was to build the capacity to live a very full life without losing myself inside of it. To know what deserves my energy and what doesn’t. To recognize when pushing is growth and when it’s self-abandonment. To tell myself (and others) the truth sooner. To recover without guilt. To be deeply ambitious while staying connected. Turns out, I’ve been excellent market research for @sorce.io 😆 So... this is the conversation I’ll be bringing to Boise Entrepreneur Week on Tuesday, Sept. 29th for BEW LIVE: The Real Energy Crisis (It’s Not What You Think). I’ll be unpacking what we’re learning at SORCE about human capacity, energetic literacy and why the next era of performance will require us will require us to look beyond productivity, engagement and traditional wellbeing strategies. The leaders that understand how to work with human energy, rather than simply demand more of it, are going to operate very differently. I’ll be joined by @jacobbgrinwis - Executive Director of @trailheadboise who will serve as my co-host. I’m looking forward to having this conversation here in Boise during a week that brings together so many entrepreneurs actively building what comes next. Boise Entrepreneur Week has grown into Idaho’s largest entrepreneurial event, and this year marks its 10th anniversary! Congrats, Trailhead! by @kristibritto

Last week, our co-founders, @kristibritto and @iamjessicacorbin returned from leading a four-day retreat at @canyonranch in Lenox, Massachusetts. Space to feel, recover, and reconnect. We were honored to facilitate alongside the extraordinary @mtaheripour whose wisdom on negotiation, relationships, and human behavior continues to challenge conventional thinking about transformation. A special thank you to @drjenwagner - Chief Health & Performance Officer at Canyon Ranch, and @jenn_wilson_adventures - Director of Health & Performance, for bringing such depth, care, and expertise to the experience. Their commitment to helping leaders understand the connection between wellbeing and performance is reshaping what self-care can look like. And to Laura Chevalier, thank you for thoughtfully curating an experience that felt both expansive and deeply human. The intentionality behind every detail did not go unnoticed. What Canyon Ranch continues to do so well is create environments where transformation doesn’t need to be forced. The conditions are simply there. The conversations deepen. Perspectives shift. People remember parts of themselves that the pace of life often asks them to set aside. Grateful to everyone who joined us, and to the Canyon Ranch team for creating a space where this work can unfold. by @kristibritto

In this Founder to Founder episode of The Practice Podcast, @iamjessicacorbin and @kristibritto reflect on six months of navigating major unknowns @sorce.io ⚡️ Shifting toward serving leaders directly, clarifying who is truly ready for energetic literacy, and building regenerative models with clear boundaries. Within that, a deeper pattern is emerging. High-performing leaders are no longer willing to succeed at the cost of themselves. The pressure to stay always-on, always-available, always performing is no longer being accepted as the baseline. Not because they can’t handle it but because they’re no longer willing to abandon their own inner knowing to sustain it. What was once a private tension is becoming shared language. A growing number of leaders are recognizing: this shift isn’t happening in isolation. If you’re ready to explore what it feels like to lead from your full capacity, not just your output, join us for The Practice Spring Cohort.
