RETREAT RECAP 🌾 They say Delphi is the ancient center of the world (the navel, or omphalos), but I’m convinced it may actually be somewhere between Mount Giona and Vardousia, at least that’s how it feels for me.

Our Reclaiming Our Roots retreat combined tactile craftsmanship with deep immersion in nature and culture. From our incredible weaving workshop and bread ritual in Athens to several days high in the mountains, this one really left me in my feels. Deepest gratitude to the women who joined us, including our ancestors whose presence was honored and felt throughout.

🏺From hiking an ancient spiritual path from Delphi through ancient olive groves, to learning how to tend to bees… from the dark depths of Pan’s cave to the sweetness of a shared altar… from imagining how many hands wove their futures from a young age, to singing the folk songs women sang to prepare for weddings (and holding space for the candid, less savory sides of that history)—this retreat covered a vast amount of ground while remaining deeply grounded. Rizes, indeed. Earth, you’re the best.

There is something profoundly moving about sharing the place where your roots lie. I finally got to share mine, and it won’t be the last time. Who’s in for next year?!

Finally, a huge thanks to @dorian_paths and @panos.parallevar for not only getting us around safely, but for providing the local intel that helped me put the perfect finishing touches on the first retreat I ever planned solo.

You’re invited: OUR 5th GREEK GRACE RETREAT IN THE CYCLADES 🌊 🧿 Registration is live to join @lulusoni and @kristinadelphi July 24–31, 2027 for a week of peak summer practice and joy.

We can’t wait to return to Amorgos (also Kristina’s summer home), where your days will include movement and breath practices, taking it “siga siga,” dreamy dips in the Aegean, local culture, and, as always, an incredible crew.

☀️This retreat is timed with Leo Season: the season of the heart, of expression, and feeling very alive. Expect joy, playfulness, and a deep nervous system reset.

Throughout our week together, we will weave daily movement practices with the land and pace of island life:
🏺Intentional movement: Daily yoga, Somatics, Katonah Yoga®, breathwork, Greek dance, all in open-air shalas overlooking the sea.
🏺Ancient paths: Walks through historic villages and along stone trails to a cliffside monastery hanging over the Aegean.
🏺Culture: Greek cuisine, exploring Aegean herbs, and local festivities and traditions.
🏺Shared meals: Long, unhurried meals of fresh Greek/Mediterranean food.
🏺The Big Blue: Amorgos feels raw and timeless. Swim in the waters that inspired the cult French film Le Grand Bleu.

Note for teachers: Lulu and Kristina are certified Katonah Yoga® teachers; all yoga practices are bankable towards your certification hours.

🐚EARLY BIRD PRICING IS LIVE 🐚This retreat sells out every year. Give yourself yourself something to look forward to and take $200 off: use code EARLYBIRD for (valid through October 15).

You know the deal! Link in bio for more details and inclusions, room options, and to reserve your spot.

CHEERS TO LATE SUMMER. The end of Virgo season, well spent in the Mikres Kyklades (aka the best Kyklades). Grateful for all the grandparent time and feeling the feels as my parents officially left for the states today. Two homes means double the love but also double the goodbyes. 🥹🧿 Feels like we soaked up all summer had to offer: now the light has shifted and we’re ready to ease into a fresh season. Wild how tending to these fast-changing humans makes one hyper aware of the passing of time.

Cups full! Grateful for everything!!! Especially for the sea, a village to help with a toddler, dancing, feeding the fishies, work that feels good, @bastet_amorgos, etc etc. by @kristinadelphi

NEW YIA MAS PODCAST WITH @nomikikonst 🧿

Whew, friends. We covered a lot of ground on this one! Nomiki Konst and I reconnected from our respective islands for a deep dive into everything from Greek geopolitics and Greek/Italian folk magic to her family’s roots in Epirus and its fascinating (and often tragic) history.

And yes... the island internet gave us a run for our money #greekinternet, so forgive a few dropped frames, awkward pauses, and lost moments along the way. Think of it as leaving a little to the imagination!

If you don’t already know Nomiki, she’s a brilliant investigative journalist, political strategist, and founder of both Kefi Strategies and Matriarch (an organization training working-class women to run for office). She was a national surrogate for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 campaigns, served on the DNC Unity & Reform Commission, and has helped lead major grassroots victories nationwide. You might also recognize her as the co-host of Rising or from her commentary across CNN, MSNBC, and SiriusXM.

Grab a cafedaki (or aperitif) and give it a listen this weekend 🏺listen for free on Spotify or Apple Podcasts:) taken in Amorgos by @kristinadelphi

REFLECTING ON ALMOST A DECADE OF YIA MAS RETREATS. 🏺🧿 Since 2018, we’ve had the deep privilege of leading and teaching on retreats across Greece. From the Cyclades to the majestic mountains of Epirus, our mission has always been to share the magic inherent in the Greek land, as well as our living traditions, music, dance, and ancient wisdom.

As we prep to announce our first couple of 2027 offerings I’ve been reflective! It’s surreal that it’s been nearly a decade since I began teaching in Greece. It started in Paros, where I was first invited to teach, followed by Corfu with @mythsnmuses at Domes Miramare, and a sweet “mini” retreat in Koufonisia. Then came 2020—cancellation of our Andros retreat, pauses, and the necessary shifting of plans. Not to mention a lot of personal growth and the beginning of hosting virtual workshops that reached people literally around the globe.

Since then, and as much as navigating new motherhood has allowed, we’ve gathered momentum, hosting cultural immersions and retreats in Amorgos, Serifos, Skyros, and Epirus, to name a few. Yogic practices have also been part of many of our retreats, and I have to offer my gratitude and credit to Indian culture, Katonah Yoga, and the teachers who kept those traditions alive. Weaving together eastern and western (re: Ancient Greek) wisdom has become a true passion.

What fills our cups (tiny amphoras! Hehe) most are the people. Witnessing the profound transformations thtat happen over a few shared days, and watching lifelong friendships bloom long after we go our respective ways, is the greatest gift of this work.

None of this exists without our incredible collaborators! The co-hosts and facilitators who bring their magic, and the locals on the ground who open their homes and hearts to us.

And above all, the land (herbs, mountains, elements, secrets) remains our constant guide, our greatest teacher, and our endless muse.

YIA MAS (that means cheers!) to almost ten years of gathering, and to all the dances to danced, paths to be walked, and places yet to be experienced together. 💙 by @kristinadelphi

«με τη βάρκα μου τη γυάλα θα σε πάρω μαυρομάλλα στη Δονούσα στο Σταύρο» 🏺 SUMMER CUPS FILLED.

Nothing like saving your vacation for Virgo season to savor the final sweet sips of summer. Grateful to have this island in our “neighborhood” of the Small Cyclades. A trip with a toddler is certainly a different type of “vacation” - much less restorative 🤭 but sweet in so many ways. We are gifted what the Buddhists might call Beginner’s Mind when we get present alongside them. I also didn’t make a dent in my book but hey, maybe next time.

And beautiful to celebrate the Exaltation of the cross on an island where the celebrations last TWO days. These traditions are alive and well among young folks, we love to see it.

While the time “off” was short, it made a dent. Simply by being less online I felt a lot of feelings that likely exist constantly as an underlying low hum, but are typically buried in the busyness of daily life and the darn internet. A post to come on why this jaunt further affirmed for me why retreats are necessary, especially in a world where we get so little quiet time to be with our beings. taken in Donoussa, Cyclades by @kristinadelphi

A NOD TO YIA MAS AT OUR WEDDING ON AMORGOS🏺 An anniversary share! I did not set out to have a Yia Mas wedding in any way, but when we were planning the gifted Psimeni Raki (traditional spiced drink of Amorgos), my brilliant planner @christy.lagiou suggested adding Yia Mas to the tag. And it just made sense…. as most of our followers know, Yia Mas means cheers. Then we said, why not add matching custom labels to the table wine just to be cheeky? 🤭

Our wedding flowers and colors also wound up being the classic Yia Mas greens and peachy earth tones. It just kind of happened. Thank you again, Christy, for talking me out of the muted whites I initially chose and into something that filled the traditional Cycladic space that is Agia Paraskevi with COLOR. And thank you to my talented friend @ahleeshr for designing the labels!

Just a few shots of the Yia Mas flavored details 🏺🌿 in my feelings looking back on this day, can’t wait to share more about the traditions we honored and, most importantly, the love and fun in the air on August 30th. by @kristinadelphi

SURPRISE SPA BACHELORETTE 💙 I always said that in the event that I had a bachelorette (not really my thing), it would have to either be a spa day or getting a cabin in the woods with a few close girlfriends. Living in Greece and having a baby made the latter impossible, and I chose not to even plan one.

So it was absolutely, positively the best and most needed thing ever to be surprised with a spa bachelorette the day before our wedding. Thank you to Eleni @fotiadishk and my mother for gathering the troops and planning! And a thank you to the team at @aegialis_hotel_spa for the hospitality + arranging for us to have your gorgeous spa all to ourselves (p.s. you should absolutely join @lulusoni and me on retreat here).

P.S. thank you for indulging my wedding weekend nostalgia, and no, I’m not done yet 🤭🧿 by @kristinadelphi
