You taught me how to tell a story. You taught me how to troubleshoot, build, and fix things. You were the embodiment of cool, humble, kind, and fun. You showed me what empathy, bravery, and imperfection look like. You taught me that men can evolve and reflect and be lovable even as they were selfish and afraid. You showed up, took the hits, and cleaned up when you 💩👖. Lots of people love and miss you- not one of them like I do. Thank you for all you showed and shared, including how best to be a Dad. He was a guy I met taking the 68 to Adams Junior High. He was Day-to-Day Ray at the first Performance Art and he was my homie at Grad night… we adventurer to NYC, LA, and SF. Came to Baltimore for AWP. Met my penpal from Big Blue Marble and strolled the best book fair ever. Then tripped on an air pocket and landed on my shoulder. 2 plates and 19 pins later I’m on my way home to SFO thanks to my sister RayRay jumping on a flight to make sure I didn’t have to suffer through it alone. It’s going to be a long haul for healing ❤️‍🩹 and I’m beyond grateful for folks showing up. taken in University of Maryland Medical Center by @krizbell

No photography or electronics. Rafts of sea otters 🦦 , pelicans, seals 🦭 frolicking in the kelp beds below the cliffs that have held the tubs precariously in place since 1962 in one way or another.
