It is with great awe and excitement that I share these photos with you! All of these amazing artists( all women), have made such generous donations of their amazing work to the Silent Art Auction I have curated for The Overflow Fashion Show Fundraiser being held Oct 8th at the Gas Station Theatre. I still have two significant piles of art left from the show.

Selling it all through stories over the next couple weeks.

5 paintings a day, three price points: 15$, 25$, and 45$. (Maximum savings on a single piece could be as high as 200$!!)

First come first serve. Cash or etransfer. Pick up at 10 Higgins Monday to Saturday 11-4. Tell your friends, suggest to your momma, encourage your hairdresser, insist your frenemies to all watch my stories!

More paintings for your perusal… I have such high hopes that I won’t need to bring these back home with me….I’m praying this amazing (first time in Winnipeg) show does well. Not just for me, but for every artist who’s currently, and full of hope, prepping all their pieces to try and make a bit of money. Create a bit of storage space. I present: the trans celebration snail ornament!!

There will be only 2 of these sweet magical creatures at the @under100artshow in Winnipeg this August (go buy a ticket or two 😉).

I’ll have 2 more available at the @wpgpunkrockflea in November (if you can wait that long) and I’ve got ONE more available anytime

I might make more if you think I should…but they take a bit of work so I wanted to make sure people liked them before making 15 of them 😂

What do you think? Should the pink in the shell be darker and should the blue be a more baby blue instead of this slightly green tinged blue? You tell ME. I’ll do better next time… taken in Higgins studios winnipeg by @kshellrude

The floor is FINISHED!! And now the wall is too! I had another idea of how to lay the planks down on the wall, and it was a MASSIVE hideous disaster.

So out came the pry bar and the pliers to remove all the brad nails embedded in each piece of wood. Triple the work? Yes! Much more satisfied with the result? 199%!! Worth it even if I sweated my tits off, pieces my heel with a brad nail (through my flip flop and right into my flesh…yes, there was blood and also me collapsing in the doorway yelling I’m wounded I’m wounded😂 ) a plank from the shutters DAVE BUILT (not me!!)came apart and then fell on the tip of my middle toe, essentially exploding the top of it. That sucked too.

What does NOT suck? This wall my friends, this gorgeous wall!!

What you see mapped out below will be my day bed/super couch (with hidden storage space beneath!). Very exciting times.

Learnt a new power tool o er the weekend! Air compressor/nail gun!!

Taking apart palette wood, cutting off the bad pieces, removing any stray nails, sanding one side to perfection, and then cutting to fit the space. Looking at it now I rather wish I’d worked in circles to create a squarish spiral pattern from the wood….next time!

I AM going to finish one inside wall in this sanded wood, so maybe I’ll try what I have in my head then!

I also installed the “mantel” for my wood stove. That corner is covered in cement board- and it was hideous. So all those gorgeous tiles you see there were installed to cover it up (more freebies—they were tile samples from some flooring place that went out of business)

I have one small corner to complete for the floor (ran out of wood 😢). And THEN I will build the frame for my bed/couch (anyone with a twin size mattress they’re giving away or old couch cushions/throw pillows - for the edges of the bed, creating back or arm rests - HMU 😉). It’ll have storage underneath with a flap on a hinge and it’ll go end to end (enough space to lie down, read a book, or have two people sit VERY comfortably on for chit chats in the rain or fall time tea or mulled wine )

What do you think of the shack so far? Of course the outside paint job as a long ways to go yet-but that’s hard work 😓 and I’d rather learn a new tool 🤣

Anyone looking to spring clean thier kitchen or downsize thier china/tableware selection?

Anything that’s not boring white would be greatly appreciated!! I’m creating garden edging and spent close to a dollar a plate for these guys….free would be so much better 😂 by @kshellrude

More artwork for @under100artshow !! These paintings are between 25$ and 95$ …. So many pretty things I’d forgotten about, hiding at the back of my storage room, too cute to paint over but not quite right to re-post, re-show, and submit to any other group shows. The under 100 is the PERFECT spot for the type of prolific artist that I am and ideal for all those paintings from past solo shows that didn’t initially sell but could use a good home.

I’m really excited to see how this massive art show generates, excited to see the other artists excited to see the venue, excited to maybe sell a whole bunch of work!!

In the meantime if there’s anything you see and like, let me know I’ll sell it to you now, no problem. Just dm me!!

A random smattering of smaller pieces going to @under100artshow in August. These babies are all under 50$, and that bunny painting is from the first year I ever painted OUTSIDE an art journal (a little piece of my history 💜)

If any of these strike your fancy,let me know. They’re all available, now or later, it’s up to you!

I think I’m pretty close to completing the hardware/documentation portion for PAINTINGS. Now it’ll be time for pulling out the ceramics. Luckily I do not intend on bringing as many as the 2d items, and wires aren’t required so although heavy, the ceramics should be a little easier prep wise

Boy, I’m glad I started this now. Procrastination would have been the absolute DEATH of me for this show 😳 by @kshellrude
