5 photos. 5 years trying. 5th time lucky auditioning for this show for over a decade and tonight, I open in Matilda the Musical, West End.
.
Little Katie Bradley with the ginger hair and the Wolves accent really said "When I Grow Up" I want to be a performer on the West End. Often I feel like I haven't reached the milestones that people/society would expect within a certain timeframe and sadly, often the milestones that society doesn't recognise don't get celebrated as significant moments in time.
.
Today, I celebrate working my arse off through the years and reaping the rewards of literally living out my dreams. It certainly takes personal sacrifice, precious amounts of time and lots of rejection but I feel like I don't REALLY work a day when I get to do this job. What a lucky maggot I am.

And here's to the people who said I was too old to play a schoolkid 😜

MATILDA, West End 2025-2026 📚🦎
✅️ Auditioned 5 times across 12 years
✅️ Cried a lot when it was another no
✅️ Told myself I probably wasn't right after all
✅️ Erased previous thought because I KNEW I was right
✅️ Wished on 11:11 each day for 6 months prior
✅️ FINALLY DID IT 🥳
.
This was one for the bucket list and I did it. Today's last 'When I Grow Up' will no doubt have me in a chokehold as I realise that I already AM grown up, fighting the monsters under the bed (or rather in my head) and carrying all the heavy things we indeed haul around with us as adults. I've met some wonderful people along the way, giggled a lot and moved a trampette/coloured blocks/tables more than I care to count.
.
I'm so excited for what's next, and feel like I'm starting a new chapter with fresh goals because once again, I've been fortunate enough to strike a bloomin' huge tick right through one of my previous goals. Thank you to all my pals and family who came to support me - I love you all dearly and it has literally meant the world to me 🌏

As I embark on my final week of Mrs Wormwood shows, I want to take a moment to thank all my friends and family who have come to support me in what has been one of my biggest achievements - she was on my bucket list for over 10 years, she made the dream of being a West End leading lady a reality and strangely, I've never felt more me in a role (not sure what that says!)
.
For the people who helped me get here, I will be forever grateful and I'm excited for the next 8 days of being unapologetically LOUD! 💃
