A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my favorite oldest child. I cannot believe Chandler is 15 already. I didn’t post any old photos because his friends stalk my posts for photos to joke with him about (hi Chandler’s friends and you’re welcome, Chan)! But I have so many good ones of this smart, spunky child that has always kept us on our toes but brought us so much joy. I wouldn’t want to do this life without my Chandler in it; you make everything a little brighter and a lot spicier my son. I love you and I’m proud of you. Keep working hard and fighting for yourself. Thanks for being 100% authentically you while waving bye to the haters! I’ll always be your biggest fan and the one who pushes you the hardest. I hope today is amazing for my boy and, Chan, don’t forget to tell you know who I hope they get lice today! 😂🩵 by @ktea4heels

Day 1 in Savannah for Tana’s birthday. Erin and I came up a night earlier than everyone. I took her on the Savannah for Morons tour because I knew she would love it. We belly laughed for 90 minutes straight. Then a nice dinner at Husk that was absolutely perfect. @savannahformorons #bestietime by @ktea4heels

The many faces of Chandler on his first day of High School. I almost cried in the car drop off line this morning thinking about my boy being in high school but then he was refusing to get out in front of the cheerleaders greeting everyone and that feeling left. 😂🤪 Fly high little Hawk…looking forward to great things in his Freshman year! by @ktea4heels

July and August, you were fast and furious but you treated us well. New friends, new places, new memories in the new house, and some familiar happy places mixed in there too. Forgot to take a picture after I took the remaining items out of the oven, but Chef Sera delivered an incredible birthday dinner for Charlie last night. It was all amazingly delish! If you need a private chef for a dinner party, she’s your gal! The menu included:

Deviled eggs/ pickles
Butter swim biscuits
Sweet tea fried chicken
4 cheese Mac and cheese
Blistered creamed corn with crab and poblanos
Sorghum pecan roasted potatoes
Apple slaw

Great night seeing one of the best people and friends I know getting passed the torch to lead our Rotary District as the newly elected District Governor. Karen is incredibly smart. Fiercely passionate. Unimaginably kind and humble. And so giving of herself to others. I cannot imagine a better human to lead our group to serve our communities. I’m a proud friend tonight. And I am always reenergized and happy after seeing my friends in Rotary. I’m blessed to know such a great group of people and even more blessed to call them friends. by @ktea4heels

Last summer lax tourney in Asheville. Not a great one performance wise to end on but I really enjoyed this group of kids and parents. Lots of great people and bonds formed. And finally time to soak the gear so my car doesn’t smell like dead animals. IYKYK We had a great time. Thanks coaches for everything, especially Chandler and Coleman’s fave, Coach Scott. Thanks for being a mentor for my boys. They sure love you and respect you. We appreciate all you do for all these boys. by @ktea4heels

Life lately. We officially have a high schooler. 😩. We moved from our home of 13 years into a new home. And we had band concerts and lax tournaments all in between. 🩵🩵 by @ktea4heels

Shameless mom brag for both of my boys for getting awards for their lax team today and for Tristan (their goalie) for his much deserved MVP award. Mostly proud of every single kid on that team where 50% of them had never played lax before. They all worked so hard this year and they looked like a real team of lax players by the end of the season. And a thousand thanks to Coach Scott who stepped up for the 2nd year for these boys. He is a fantastic coach and person and Githens is lucky to have him and his baller of a lax player son, Tanner (who may be my favorite middle school player to watch on the field). I had so much fun watching this team this year. by @ktea4heels

Only 5 of these boys had ever picked up a lax stick before this season started. They ended the regular season with a win today and Coach Scott helped create some more lax boys. So proud of their hard work and development this year. They looked like a different team by the end of the season. Go Raiders! by @ktea4heels

It’s like they know me here. 🤪🥳

Even when I’m stressed to the max, coming into work with these amazing humans grounds me every day. Beyond blessed with the best work family and for all of the 50+ friends and family that have texted me this morning. You all know how to make a girl feel good. Thanks for making Earth Day and my Birthday feel special! I have the best village and I don’t take that for granted. Love you all! by @ktea4heels
