Congratulations to our Teacher, Selvi Kashmia Balabaskaran, and Senior Student, Selvi Kuberaka Kumareswaran, on being honoured with the title:

✨ “NAATYA KALAAJOTHI” ✨

Our sincere thanks to Vijayakumaran Iyer and Varisithi Vinayagar Temple for recognizing and celebrating emerging talent. This recognition reflects their continued dedication to supporting the Toronto Bharathanatyam community and nurturing the next generation of artists.

At Kalai Aruvi, we are especially proud to have nominated students who have completed their Arangetram and remained dedicated to our academy for many years, continuing to teach, mentor younger students, and contribute to our growth.

We are also proud to recognize our Senior Teacher, Smt. Koushika Lukas, and Senior Student, Selvi Brinthavi Sivarajasingham, who were also nominated for this honour.

To make the evening even more special, our junior students had the wonderful opportunity to perform as part of the celebrations.

Congratulations to all the students who received this honour!

Still feels so surreal to even say that 🥹 So grateful to @usha_jey for trusting me with this opportunity and allowing me to be a part of such a special project.

On shoot day, we were able to transform this fabric into this gorgeous 13-pleat saree and blouse look, and I’m so happy with how everything came together. Loved working with @priminmypumps & @anjoonieart .

Maitreyi was also genuinely the sweetest and such a pleasure to work with, which made the whole experience even more special 🤍

one of those days that reminded me how much I love what I do 🤍

I got to work behind the scenes, getting the dancers ready and making sure every drape was ready to MOVE.

Beyond grateful to @usha_jey for bringing me onto this project and trusting me with such an important part of the looks. Seeing it all come together in front of the camera was truly special 🫶
