If you’re in Dubai this Friday, come down to our exhibition! I’m excited to show my painting ‘Distorted Visions’ as part of ‘Fixation’ group exhibition of independent artists, happening in House 353 of Al Shindagha historical neighborhood, curated by @kunn_space under @dubaiculture !❤️

About the painting:
How can our sense of belonging impact our perception of a place? Based off of a photograph I took of New York’s Times Square days before shutting down due to the pandemic, this piece explores how our visions and perceptions of a place can be challenged. It embraces that fluidity, as a form of creating a new reality, and re-discovering familiar places with a new understanding.

About the exhibition:
Some thoughts refuse to leave us. They return in quiet moments, appear in dreams, and linger long after we think we have moved on. They can be people, places, memories, ideas, sounds, or fleeting moments that become part of us. Fixation is a group exhibition exploring the things we cannot stop thinking about, not as obsessions, but as muses that shape how we create, remember, and understand the world.

Join us on 25 September, 4-8 PM, for the opening and meet the artists. The exhibition runs until 17 October!
