Getting to know our guest DJ @kurt_ruslin of @discodeathrecords

Cult Susceptibility: 3/10
I would have to be really dazzled to be brought in. I have my guard up a lot.

Core cult tenet: My partners idea of the Cher cult. Lots of bedazzled stuff and just talking and dancing to the divas. That’s the only one I’m interested in.

Q: What kind of music should the people expect from you?

A: expect to hear a lot of HI-NRG music, nu-house disco and just straight bangers that you might not know but will be like “oh I like this”

Q: what’s something people that know you might not know about you?

A: I was in a water ski show for 9 years. Built pyramids, barefoot waterskied, dress in lots of costumes and performed every Thursday on Pewaukee lake in Wisconsin in the summer time

This Thursday and every Thursday I’ll be spinning records at @masaandagave from 9pm-12am. Come say hey, dance, hang out, eat a taco, slam a beer, or maybe two beers.

Hope to see y’all there sometime soon. ❤️ taken in Masa and Agave by @kurt_ruslin

Wow thank you @axiostwincities for loving the shop. I just want to say thank you to you and also to everyone that has stopped in and enjoyed the space.

I don’t really post very much but this last year has been a wild ride and I’m truly lucky to have this place flourishing. I would like to thank my partners in crime @swedish.institute.official and @basementlab.mpls in making this dream come true. Also thank you to @youngblood_apotheke for believing in me when times were tough. I seriously couldn’t do this without your support. Also thank you to our wonderful Baristas that work so hard and make the vibes just right. We couldn’t do this without you as well.

Finally thank you to everyone that has stopped in and supported us by grabbing a coffee, a record or getting film developed. With out all of you this place wouldn’t be the place it is. I love all of you so much and I hope to see you soon and in the next year. Thank you thank you thank you!
