At the 35 years of being alive, I came to the realization that there’s a lesson to be learned in every single situation that we face. Good and bad. Another thing that I learned there is nothing that goes on in my life that God doesn’t have his hand in . My very first relationship was at the age of 14 and here I am 35 and I just now know how to properly love myself as well as another. Properly communicate be self-sufficient not be triggered. Be sober. Have healthy boundaries. Not operating on survivor mode. Be a Help mate. Most importantly have God at the forefront of my life. So in essence that was 20 years of a boy playing a man’s game! So now that I’m here part of me feel like I don’t deserve love & the other part of me know that I do. Because now that I know better, I will do better. My past does not define me. I had to be broken down to be built back up to become who I am today. And I’m forever grateful that I was able to reach this point to truly live within the purpose that God has set upon me. I can truly honestly say that I am ready for love. by @kwame_godl

March 6 2025 I attended the @hulvey concert and @lecrae was a surprise guest. And that was Fresh when I completely gave my life to God and I was crying nonstop. I ended up speaking with the right people and ended up getting the job at the venue as security. Fast forward I’m working his final stop of the reconstruction tour and I run into @miles.minnick I tell him how his music saved my life and brought me closer to God help me become prouder of my sobriety. Then Spoken with a member of Lecrae team & he relayed my story to him and he mentioned it while on stage. Lecrae was/is the best and greatest to ever do this music thing with God at the forefront the LeBron the GOAT 🐐 in this #CHH and I am forever grateful of how God works. December 6 I will have two years sober and honestly, this was by far the best gift I have ever received ever. Meet our newest mentee, Torian! 🙌🏾

We started the day the way we strive to start every day—with God’s Word. During our daily devotional, we talked about idols and how anything can become an idol when it takes God’s place in our hearts. That can include money, success, relationships, social media, video games, technology, or anything else we value more than our relationship with Him.

It’s a honor and a privilege to help implement structure into these young man life with value of a dollar, morals on how to properly conduct yourself, as well as character building to properly communicate and handle difficult situations. So not only do we plant seed into the Earth. We plant seeds into our future leaders with God at the forefront and it’s blessing to watch them blossom!

This walk of sanctification is not linear. I feel like I made progress in one area. Another area is sacrificed in moments and lacked the necessary attention it deserves. I have sacrifice so much to grow closer to God. Some by choice and others were made on my behalf. I have made a lot of mistakes along the way still to this day trying my best not to lean on my own understanding. Trying to make the right decisions for the right reasons. This is difficult & many cases The only guidance I have is the Holy Spirit & the word. On this road, I have lost so many people. But also on this road I have gained, community. I appreciate those who took the time to properly communicate with me. I appreciate my kids for their understanding of all the decisions that I have made, their love and support has been a beacon of strength flowing through my veins. I genuinely don’t know where this road may lead me or where it may end but I do know this I’m living for God. Nobody else! In my past I was living for the woman in my life. In my past, I was living for my children. In my past, I was living for my family. And all of that has ever led me yo was pain, sorrow, loss, jealousy, struggle, liquor, suicidal ideation, and failed attempts! Now that I live for God, of course there are trials and tribulations, transgressions and iniquities, now I repent, I pray for deliverance to be freed from the bondage that I have held for so long, and to know I don’t have to carry none of this by myself. He gave me the strength that I need to remain sober, happy healthy, and filled with joy even on my worst day. So I’m thankful that I made it here and I was able to fully embrace his glory for the moment that I’m in as much as my life is far from perfect and filled with struggle and financial hardship. He always makes a way a brother of mine said why live for a world that I was saved from. It was him and only him that was the missing key to complete me. Thank you, Jesus. For those who is no longer in my life just know I love you and for those who are by my side just know I love you.

1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” #Sober 900 days today!!!

so many trials and tribulations I started drinking at 15 my heart was always pure, but I was extremely corrupted. For so long I never dealt with the things that bothered me so even when I was at my best I was still drained. This journey is no cake walk but God strengthen me.

I appreciate all the love and support and prayers over the years even when I didn’t recognize it. None of it was in vain!!! #healing by @kwame_godl
