Soon ... Currituck Co returns after over 15 years and Nervous Wreck Kids returns after almost 30 years with new music... Produced by @fruit_bats and featuring @annienerd and @ottohauserdrums, mixed by @minerstreetrecordings, coming to a Bandcamp near you as soon as we can sort out a mild glitch in the test pressing that I'm being a QC Karen about (not the fault of @smashedplastic , whose pressing sounds phenomenal!) by @kwkbarker

Discogs tells us this 7" is turning 30 this year. Back in 1996 none of us could have imagined this music being reissued in 2026, nor that it would be available digitally on supercomputers that fit in your pocket. To commemorate the occasion, you can give it a listen in the original sequence using these fancy playlists. https://tidal.com/playlist/cd5280d3-68f1-4c7d-8e06-f5980ddc84b5

My brother @derekwmb and I founded @nervous.wreck.kids when we were both still teenagers. We were in the right place at the right time to have the luck to put out records by Maximilian Colby, and it's lovely to see those recordings reissued so lovingly on this discography by @lovittrecords. And Derek with prime placement right on the obi for his liner notes! by @kwkbarker

The fabled Grass record is finally being released! This was a super group of sorts featuring members of Espers, Brightblack Morning Light, Feathers, Currituck Co., Devendra Banhart, Vetiver, etc. during the so-called 'Freak Folk Revival' when we were all playing shows together and playing in each other's bands...

From @greg_weeks_music_official:

It's official. Eighteen years after the original recording, the Grass record is finally available for pre-order.

You can listen to the single now and decide for yourself if it lives up to the hype. This record captures an incredibly brief but unforgettable experience shared by me, @brookesietinsons, @kwkbarker, @mearao, @ottohauserdrums, @ben_mcconnell, and everyone who came out to support us at the shows.

Thanks to @spiritualpajamas and @folkyeahvents for standing by all these years and helping bring this to life.

More updates coming soon.

Scenes from recording overdubs: oranges from @fruit_bats tree that were covered in ash from the eton fire before I washed them, a cute dynamic mic recommended by @thommonahan, who saved our lives by hosting us when Eric's porch was unexpectedly under construction, and a very cool organ formerly belonging to @kingtuffy by @kwkbarker
