Join us for a family-friendly, all-ages nature journaling field trip on Wednesday, August 19! Register at link in bio.

This field trip will visit High Meadow Preserve, a protected natural area in Lake Placid not yet open to the public. As you meander through wildflower meadows and shady forests, you’ll pause to sketch, write, make leaf rubbings, press plants, take photos, and try new ways to record outdoor experiences.

Blank journals, pencils, and crayons will be provided; you are also welcome to bring your own writing and drawing materials. This trip is free, open to all, and limited to 15 participants. Those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. by @kwough

A rainy, foggy, and chilly 50k this weekend on the Bruce Trail from Devil's Punchbowl to Snake Road, including an almost impassable flooding situation (we got through but people even an hour after us probably wouldn't have). Slippery red clay also made for an interesting trail surface. But, no bugs! Definitely need to return to the beautiful Dundas Conservation Area on a weekend with nicer weather. taken in Dundas, Ontario by @kwough

You know how rocks look really cool in their setting and then you get them home and they just look like...rocks?

I will never know about this one because I left it there. It was too beautiful to move.
