“𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐰𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐞?” 𝐉𝐨𝐛‬ ‭𝟐‬:‭𝟏𝟎‬ ‭
this is a reminder to myself that my relationship with God is more than just loving Him only when life is easy. 💌
I felt hesitant to share this because it’s so vulnerable and personal but i’ve realized my pain is not my own and that there are many that can relate to my story. when i’m deep in my sadness and feeling low in my depression, i realized what brings me back to God is creating. i created this documentary for a final project in my dance film class a few weeks ago. I wanted to create something that would encourage me in this season of burnout, discouragement, and insecurity. It was one of those experiences where I couldn’t fully trust the process, but the final product ended up becoming something even better than I expected. The ironic part is that I do not fully believe in the hope I portrayed in this film right now, at least not all the time. But I made this documentary because I wanted to believe in hope and joy again. Through this I have realized that true joy, happiness, and contentment truly comes from God. I see this film as evidence of perseverance and pushing past my unbelief. That I can learn to love God and be passionate not just through the good but through the bad as well.

Thank you to the amazing dancers that were willing and open to sharing their stories as well as sharing mines through movement and connection. Thank you to my awesome sister in Christ for narrating my inner dialogue and bringing it all to life with spoken word. Thank you to everyone behind the scenes that made production easy. and Thank you to God, for He has never given up on me. 💐

KCON ‘25🫰🏽✨🤍

an amazing experience that i never got to share. about a year ago i had the opportunity to perform at the crypto arena for KCON LA. thanks to @jarchdance and @_ykhernandez__ . i’m so grateful for their incredible wisdom, support, and for letting a small miami girl like me dance her heart out on the big stage. it was a dream come true 🥹

What would it look like if we stopped giving in to fear and started doing what we love, living freely because Jesus gives us the opportunity to? John 10:10🌟

For the longest time, I was afraid to express myself because of my fear of rejection and imperfection. I worried so much about how people saw me that I placed my value and identity in their opinions and perceptions of me. But I realized I cannot serve two masters. My pursuit of perfection was actually keeping me from fully embracing Jesus’ sacrifice. It was rooted in a refusal to accept God’s grace and in the prideful belief that I needed myself more than I needed God.
Now, I see that God has given me a platform to express myself and be confident in this season of discovery, growth, and not having everything figured out. More importantly, He has given me a platform to glorify and worship Him (connecting with others while doing so) and a space to share my sufferings, good times, and values with others (what is important to me).
So these are a few of the many things I’ve been afraid to post because vulnerability has never come easily to me. But it wouldn’t be right for me to keep all the good that God is doing in my life to myself.
This is me choosing to serve God alone and tearing down what doesn’t serve…or I could just call it a dump lol 😭

The Easter dance wasn’t just a performance, it was a declaration of victory, choreographed worship that spoke louder than words. So proud of the dancers for pouring their hearts into every step✝️🤍 Let them praise His name with dancing.”– Psalm 149:3

This was a visual declaration of the resurrection. Every step told the story of Jesus rising in power, breaking through darkness with light and life. We danced not just to move, but to proclaim: He is risen, and death has lost its sting.

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!”– Luke 24:5-6
