Woodland Walks
.
As it comes into the Ber months the trodden walkways of the forrests will become more wet and muddy. But the low grey light provides some extra atmosphere in nature.

Its going to be a personal focus to spend more time within nature, albeit with a flask and camera in hand.

Old Dailly Kirk
.
It's always my aim to explore as many local and nearby places as possible. After picking up a copy of Legendary Ayrshire by Dane Love (no relation as far as i'm aware of) I have been planning some road trips and dog walks to tick off some of the locations mentioned within the book.

The first pilgrimage I decided to make was to visit the Blue Stones of Old Dailly. Some medieval tales tell of the healing powers of two rounded stones, other more modern tales consist of the stones being a test of strength. Upon being able to lift the stones a boy had officially become a man.

Unfortunately due to the deteriorating condition of the kirk it has no been fenced off and is surrounded by overgrown foilage. It was disappointing not being able to venture in and see the stones but it is still a beautiful area to take in.
