Not So Action Sampler

Purchased for £13.49 on Vinted: a built by @lomography Action Sampler camera that takes four sequential photos on a single 35mm film frame, within the space of about one second. Seemed perfect for testing on the latest monthly photo walk organised by @nonstopgrain Stu, yesterday in Glasgow’s Govanhill neighbourhood.

What I hoped for: Fun photos, especially with subjects in motion, with a combination of black & white film, blur and repetition lending a minimalist feel.

What I got: Mostly light leaks. On an overcast day in Glasgow. But there were a few keepers and it was a fun collective effort.

The final four frames (x4), with decreasing amounts of light leaks, came out best. Most of the others bear signs that each of the four different frames in the camera brought its own light leak when it fired.

Verdict: Fun to experiment, but having sampled the purported action, this camera is destined for the scrap heap.

That said, thank you to everyone who helped me test it out. Also to @gulabiphoto for the super quick develop +scan 👊

Now, onto whatever fresh 35mm film madness catches my eye. 😂

Long time no see !
Hi everyone, It’s been a hot minute since I posted on my page ! Let’s say that I was on #dryjanuary but content wise 😝

I needed some time to relax after a good Christmas and New year’s in France, time to think about my business @nephtali.couture as it’s going to celebrate 5 years of existence ! And I just needed some time for myself…

But I am back, for a year full of colourful prints, beautiful clothes and awesome content !

And I will start with this wee throwbacks to a photoshoot I did with my favourite people @terri.m_6 and @kylelove96 ! It was for the launching of the « Moyi Etelemi » collection.

Let’s be focus and successful this year !

Again, Happy New Year 2023 ☀️
