They fired confetti cannons at me. I’m still finding it in my bag... 🎉

McKinney & Allen, Texas. Onward BOLD graduation day.

Let’s be honest about the season these agents walked in carrying. This market is heavy. Fewer deals, longer days, and a lot of doubt riding shotgun between appointments. Plenty of people are quietly tapping out.

These agents showed up anyway.

Six weeks. Real conversations. Limiting beliefs dragged into the light and broken in front of the very people they’d been hiding from. Nobody performed. Everybody grew. 545 pieces of business created in the room together.

And somewhere along the way, they took an out-of-towner in as one of their own. On the last day they pulled me to the center of the room, said some things I’m still sitting with... and then came the McKinney confetti send-off.

But hear me, McKinney and Allen. That confetti was for you.

Hard markets don’t make agents. They reveal them. What got revealed in that room was courage.

Keep making the calls. Keep having the conversations. Keep becoming. Keep showing up. You deserve it.

Grateful to God for every one of you.

Love you. Mean it,

Last time the porch spoke Cajun. This week it sings the song of the South.

Same series. New voice. Same goal: pull old truth into modern life.

Porch Proverbs. Sayings from the South.

1. You can’t unring a bell, but you can quit pulling the rope. The past is fixed. The future isn’t. Let go.
2. Mama didn’t raise no fool. You already know. Most decisions aren’t unclear, they’re uncomfortable. Trust the gut she gave you.
3. If a frog had wings, he wouldn’t bump his tail when he hopped. “If only” is the most expensive sentence in your life. Build with what you have.
4. You can put your boots in the oven, that don’t make ‘em biscuits. Stop pretending to be something you aren’t. Lean into your purpose, not someone else’s.
5. He’s all hat and no cattle. The world has enough men who look the part. Be one of the few who actually built something.
6. The water you’re fishing in is the water you’ll catch fish in. The room you sit in is shaping you whether you signed up for it or not. Change the room. Change the man.
7. Ya catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Kindness is not weakness. Empathy is not soft. Both are choices the strongest men make on purpose.

Old words. New men.

Drop the number of the one that found you today. Then live like you heard it.

My son asked me to stay longer tonight…

Let me set the stage. It’s Wednesday. Long week already. Planes, listings, speeches, talks, fails, wins, stress. Pouring everything out of you to so many takes a lot of juice.

Today never slowed down either. Wake. Work. Straighten the house. Pick up the kids. Homework. Dinner. Soccer practice.

By the end of practice I was running on fumes.

Then he looked up and asked, “Dad, can we stay a little longer?”

And I almost said no. I’m sure my face said it.

But something stopped me. A painful thought, actually.

One day he won’t ask.

One day the ball will sit in the garage, the field will be empty, and I’d give anything to have this exact tired Wednesday back.

I could literally feel future me was screaming, pleading across the decades, “Say yes YOU damn FOOL!”

….I took his advice.

Real talk, it was the best part of my entire week. We ran. We laughed. We played like nothing else in the world mattered. Because in that moment, everything simply faded away. I did not realize how much I needed that.

You see, I firmly believe the magic of life resides in the moments between moments.

I know the inbox will refill. I know the opportunities will keep coming, the struggles too. I think I’ll sleep one day, maybe. But these years won’t circle back.

So if you’re still reading, listen to the pleas of future me.
Today, say yes. Tomorrow, say yes again.

Stay longer. Linger longer. Never break the hug first.
Be where your feet are.

If you don’t, I guarantee many tomorrows from now, you’ll wish you had.

Never have I ever seen an apple tree snacking on itself.

But I’ve seen plenty of us do it. Hoard the wisdom. Sit on the gift. Wait until we feel qualified, healed, or finally ready to be seen.

Fruit was never meant to stay on a branch. In fact, if you leave it there long enough it doesn’t become more valuable. It just rots.

That hard season you made it through? Somebody needs to know it can be survived.

That gift you keep downplaying? Somebody’s breakthrough might be hanging on it.

That word you’ve been too scared to say? Somebody has been starving for it.

The content you’re to scared to post because of the fear of judgment? Somebody is waiting for that unique message to finally feel like someone else gets them.

The tree takes the storms. It takes the pruning. Then it hands everything it grew to somebody else and never asks for a thank you. Not once.

You didn’t end up where you are by accident. God doesn’t plant anything without a purpose, and that includes you. He didn’t grow all that in you just so you could keep it.

So who were you planted here for?

Go feed them.

The cold truth is, not everyone likes apples. That’s ok! Your fruit isn’t for them. But some people….some people LOVE apples.

Much love,

Floor 27. Waiting on the elevator.

Suit on. Bags Packed. Onward BOLD Graduation week in Vegas.

Before I walk into that room, I do a check up form the neck up. I check the man in the mirror. He has to live the ideals in which he’s about to speak on.

It’s Friday. And after many conversations this week, I see you. This one may be for you.

I was in a room today of strong people. The ones everybody calls when the wheels come off. The ones who hold the team together, hold the family together, hold the deal together... and somehow still show up smiling.

And this got said:

“You’ve had a cross country move, a heart attack, wild travel speaking schedule, lots of adjustments in a tiny time. You’re the strong friend. And in here, it’s multiple strong friends. You can not be ok here for a minute.”

Quiet.

Not because I didn’t no what to say. Because most strong people have never been given permission.

We carry so well that nobody thinks to ask if we’re ok. Including us.

So here’s your reminder…

You’re entitled to rest.
You’re entitled to be down.
You’re entitled to be “off.”
You’re entitled to not be ok sometimes.

Steel that never leaves the fire doesn’t get stronger. It gets brittle. Even the strongest blade has to cool before it holds its edge.

Not ok is not the same as not faithful. Even Jesus stepped away from the crowd to be alone with the Father. If He needed the quiet, so do you.

So find your room. Find the people who let you set it down for a minute without asking you to explain it.

And if you’re the strong friend reading this... go check on the other strong friend this weekend. They probably won’t tell you first.

Love y’all. by @kyleevanskw

Business planning season is here. And most agents are planning 2027 with FEELINGS instead of FIGURES.

Gary Keller teaches us THE PATH IS IN THE MATH.

This page from the MREA has lived on my desk for years, and here’s what it keeps teaching me.

At $300K in GCI, the model keeps 62%.
At $800K, it keeps 39%.

Almost triple the business... and a smaller slice of every dollar.

If you don’t know that’s coming, growth feels like failure.
If you DO know, you plan for it. You hire on purpose. You spend on purpose. You walk through the valley with your eyes open.

That’s the difference between hoping for a big year and building one.

And look at the one line that never moves:
Lead generation. 10%. Every column.
This point is MISSED OFTEN!

So before you write a single 2027 goal, answer these:
📊 What did I actually net in 2026? Not GCI. Net.
📊 What % of my income went to lead gen?
📊 Which expenses grew my business... and which just grew my comfort?
📊 What level am I building toward, and does my budget match it?

You can’t steward what you won’t look at.

Numbers don’t limit your vision. They give it legs.

Sit down with your plan this week. Bring a pen, a calculator, and a whole mess of courage. Better yet, bring your MAPS coach. by @kyleevanskw

Growth requires us to challenge the way we think, get uncomfortable, and take action even when fear tells us otherwise.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been part of BOLD, Keller Williams’ intensive coaching and training program focused on mindset, personal growth, and building successful real estate businesses. But the lessons go far beyond real estate.

A few of the BOLD Truths really stood out to me.

The Path Is in the Math. We talked about building wealth intentionally, not just doing the income-generating activities, but paying ourselves first, setting aside resources, and making decisions that support the future we’re creating.

Where Belief Lives, Fear Can’t. I broke a board with my hand! And before I did it, I was in my head. That experience reminded me how often we limit ourselves before we even try. Sometimes we have to get out of our own way to discover what we’re capable of.

No One Succeeds Alone. One of the most meaningful parts of BOLD was the community we built at our leadership table and watching agents throughout the room connect, encourage one another, and grow together. There’s something powerful about being surrounded by people who challenge you to become better while supporting each other’s success.

my favorite reminders:
Love Is Always the Answer. ❤️

Love comes in many forms. It’s how we speak to ourselves, how we recognize our own worth, how we lead, and how we show up for others. Leadership is about more than helping people achieve results. It’s about caring about the people behind those results.

I’m walking away from this experience with a lot of gratitude for the people who challenge me, believe in me, and contribute to my growth.

The more we grow as leaders, the more we can help others grow. And that’s what makes it all worthwhile.

Thank you coach @kyleevanskw @mapscoaching @kellerwilliamsrealty by @kyleevanskw

I told my kids they could be anything they wanted when they grew up.

Then I realized... kids don’t really believe what you tell them. They believe what you show them.

So I’ve spent the last few years trying to prove it.

This round was 18 talks. 6 weeks. Las Vegas. Dallas. Houston.
A laptop, a backpack, and a suitcase that’s ridden more hotel elevators than I’d like to admit 😅

Every room was full of people who were once told the same thing my kids were told. Somewhere along the way, life talked them out of it. A hard market. A hard year. A relationship. A voice in their head that got louder than the dream.

My job was to stand in front of them and say, “It’s still possible.” Then hand them the tools to go build it.

Every time someone walked up after a session and said, “I believe again”... I thought about two kids back home.

That’s the proof. Not my words. Theirs. Their stories. Their accomplishments. Their resiliency. Their healing. Their breaking free. That’s the honoring of my promise to my kids.

To every agent, leader, and team who gave me your time these six weeks, thank you. You helped me keep that promise.

And to my wife, my bride, who held the million things together on the home front while I was gone, thank you most. I don’t deserve you.

This dream has a cost. Missed bedtimes. FaceTime goodnights. I don’t pretend it doesn’t. But I want my kids to grow up knowing their dad didn’t just say “chase it.” He went and did it. Then he came home.

Now for the best part of any tour.

Going home. Cuddle puddle.

Grateful to God for every story in every room.
