Legacy isn’t just about wins or losses. Legacy is about what you give back and who you lift up. It’s about the world you create for the next generation.

Impact Over Profit. Legacy Over Recognition.

A week ago, we had the opportunity to do something truly special in our hometown.

What started as a vision became a reality through the Summit City Collective Camp, a free wrestling camp designed to give young athletes the chance to learn, grow, and experience the sport we love. A huge thank you to @kylejolas for having the vision, bringing people together, and creating something that will leave a lasting impact on our community.

What made this experience even more meaningful for me was the location. The camp was held at the same school where my dad and my cousin won their state wrestling titles and graduated. They are two of the many people who inspired me throughout my journey and helped shape the path that eventually led me to becoming a national champion.

Standing in that same gym, years later, and being able to pass along the lessons, knowledge, and values they instilled in me to the next generation was a full-circle moment I will never forget.

This was one of the most rewarding camps I have ever been a part of. I’m grateful to God for continuing to bless me with the ability to step on the mat and use the gift of wrestling to teach, serve, and inspire young athletes.

The true measure of success isn’t what we gain, it’s what we give back.

2027 Summit City Collective Camp… we’re just getting started.

A dream that was both exciting and intimidating became an incredible reality as more than 100 wrestlers participated in the inaugural Summit City Collective.

From the beginning, the vision was simple: create an opportunity where student-athletes, regardless of their background or financial situation, could learn from world-class clinicians, gain exposure to collegiate programs, and build meaningful relationships within the wrestling community.

What meant the most was not the attendance numbers, but the impact. Families shared that this was their child’s first wrestling camp because they had never been able to afford one before. Athletes learned from elite coaches who came from the same communities and high schools they did, while also having the opportunity to connect with college coaches representing 10 programs from 8 different institutions.

Creating an opportunity that is accessible to everyone is something I care deeply about. If even one athlete left with greater confidence, learned something new, or began to see a future in college wrestling that they had never considered before, then every hour of planning, preparation, and effort was worthwhile.

Thank you to every athlete, parent, coach, clinician, volunteer, sponsor, and college program that helped make this possible. Year 1 was truly remarkable!! taken in Fort Wayne, Indiana by @kylejolas
