I am officially a Handmade Not Mass-Made Verified Artisan. What does this mean? We are more than makers. We are leaders of a slower, more conscious future. If you've been with me as this painting has progressed, this is the pure delight of the other side of the 'messy middle'! I had listened to a lesson from @angemillerart reminding me 'there's grace in the layers'. I held tight to this thought as I kept moving, and this Awake My Soul commission has come into its own! This is me 😊 Ordinary, everyday, art loving me. The person behind all you see at KymCo Handmade. It's been a very long time between introductions so here's a little about me....
- I have loved making things as far back as I can remember. Many of my treasured childhood memories are when I was being creative.
- I have been married 25 years and we have three incredible sons - all teenagers now!
- I am an occupational therapist, a day job that I love
- Coffee is my daily pleasure
- I love to sing. I don't sing in any formal capacity currently but I've sang for many years at church and also enjoyed five years in a women's accapella chorus
- I can be quite messy. I love the mess making but not so much the clean up!
- I'm extremely self conscious of putting my photo in front of you with wrinkles and double chin but I'm grateful for life that has also given me smile lines and a sparkle in my eye.

I've had some concentrated art time this past week and I realised I had some finished pieces that needed varnishing and packaging. And here they are!
