GODSPEED..

“An old expression that means a wish for success or a safe journey given to someone who is leaving. It comes from old words meaning ‘may God make you prosper’.”

huge thanks to @prod.xdonny & @prod.metafreeze for their hard work on this project from mixing & mastering to the beats and production of it all. another thank you to @liproart for this amazing cover artwork, such a beautiful piece! couldn’t do this without y’all!

thank you to everyone who continues to support this music ministry. i genuinely appreciate it from the top to the bottom of my heart. you guys absolutely shattered my goals for the music video and im so grateful. making music and content wouldn’t be possible with your support and love.

this project was a lot of fun and i truly hope you guys enjoy this one. We touched on a lot of topics within the songs, but i tried my best to make them as bright as possible and less dark like “Memento Mori”.

there’s some big things coming with the music and a whole style change on the way as well with the next project so stay tuned. (1/2)

my prayer for this project is that it reaches the lost souls and brings them home to the One who makes all things new.

GODSPEED to you all! 💜🕸️

in january 2020, one month after juice wrld passed, a 15 year old from new jersey walked into a studio for the first time. he had been singing in school plays his whole life, but losing x and then juice sent him into poetry trying to figure out how to write a song that actually meant something. he wanted to do what they did, and he wanted to do it better.

a few years later he became a born again Christian, and that is where it got hard. on a retreat with his brothers, everyone split off to sit in silence and listen for God. ky heard two things. one was forgiveness. the other was “you haven’t given Me everything.” he knew what it meant before he was ready to admit it, and he sat there crying because it meant the music he had spent years building. he deleted his old discography and started recording gospel rap.

he will tell you the road has not gotten easier. he says it gets lonely, that a lot of the people around him still want the life he walked away from, and that support can feel thin. the music has found people anyway. memento mori has passed 105k streams, godspeed is already over 92k, and he is sitting at 12.9k monthly listeners. you can still hear juice and x in the songwriting, with deftones and paramore somewhere underneath, but the message runs the other direction.

in his words, he wants you to try a new genre and let him speak life over you. go stream godspeed and start with misfire.
