‘SUP friends! Meet MARIE aka LACE D !! She’ll be part of our artist exhibition and present some fresh video work to please your eyes. 🌀 🪩 ABOUT Marie is a dancer, animator and videographer from Cologne. Dance has been at the centre of her life for over ten years. She started with Breaking and later developed an interest in other styles, including Hip Hop, House and Waacking. Her love for moving images led her to videography. In 2024, she took an important step towards filming dance through an interdisciplinary project by Roots & Routes, where she joined the media team because of her work in animation. She is particularly interested in the impact different dance styles can have. Through her own experience, she knows that dance can bring out different sides of a person, and she is fascinated by seeing this process in other women as well.  Dance often confronts us with qualities that society does not traditionally associate with us, or even reduces to stereotypes. Its empowering and character-building potential continues to inspire her, and capturing that process on film is what drives her. 📍LOCATION OT Nippes Werkstattstraße 7 50733 Cologne @nippesot 💸 FREE SOCIALS @lace3d #supcultures #cologne #videography #dance #exhibition by @lace3d

Some other concepts I tried out with snippets of the Bgirls NRW @bgirls_nrw video. This is the very flowy @bgirlmjay ✨🌊 who's footwork I really admire. Music Glad - Flammerdanceband @flammer_dance_band by @lace3d
This is one of my unused little snippets for the Bgirl NRW @bgirls_nrw video. I tried to experiment bringing animation and dance together without distracting each other. I like the result but at the end it did not fit to the concept of the video anymore. Still happy to share it here 🤗. The dancer is the skillful @7h3luma ✨💃. A feeling of anger and rebellion. This is a reworked version of our Video which was used for the feminism scene in the ROOTS & ROUTES Cologne e. V. experience 2024 @rrcgn . Trough time I realise how much I love when woman express feelings which are not attached to them stereotypically. This is one of the reasons why I wanted to continue working on this video we created in the Root & Routes experience. It was a pleasure to work together with all of this talented people: @soo.lare the dancer who was creating the wonderful movement and expression @kerem_eldes12 , @eren.kinin @alitankarabel , @keremboi and VasiliosAsmanidis. Our beautiful musicians crafted this catching music piece. @katya.thr who helped us with directing and camera @youngjeanmaeng our technical support And our beautiful Media Foliage Members @simone_dal_pozzo directing and camera @the_dancing_visuals artistic director, set and post production @connybeissler for Special Effects @_lore_gd support @meda_photography support It is one of the first pieces we can call a Media Foliage project. Our new Media Collective which started during working on projects in the R&R experience 2024. by @lace3d
