“Matter” is the minimum. Black lives are worthy. Black lives are beloved. Black lives are needed.

As Christians, when are we going to stop making excuses and start actually fighting against the messages in our world that so often say otherwise? The enemy would love for you to stay silent and remain passive- I urge you, don’t let fear overcome you.

Our God is a God of love, passion, and pro-active action. His love is gentle and tender and it’s also fierce, passionate and does not give up. Let’s show up for our black brothers and sisters with the love of God.

Sometimes the most Christ-like thing you can do for someone is stop giving them another opportunity to practice the same sin against you. This isn’t to minimize trauma bonds, that’s a real thing.
